About this cottage rental

Just a 5 minute walk to the beach and town. Two-bedroom, two-bath, vacation home is located on a quiet cul-de-sac in the quaint beach town of Hanalei on Kauai's beautiful rural North Shore. It features natural wood ceilings and walls, one king-size bed and one queen bed. A flat screen TV, CD, DVD, WIFI, washer/dryer, fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher. Ceiling fans in every room. BBQ. Outdoor shower. Stunning mountain views.
Walk around the corner to the beach access on Weke Road, down the sand path and you will be right in the middle of Hanalei Bay.
Owner's Rental Agreement, provided by Owner, is required. No subleasing or subletting. RENTALS LESS THAN 7 DAYS REQUIRE OWNER'S APPROVAL.

This vacation rental is located in the Kauai County Tsunami Evacuation Zone.

The house was clean and well equipped. The kitchen had all that we needed and was well laid out - overlooking the family and dining areas. The laundry area was convenient and a big plus. The bedrooms were comfortable and each had their own bathrooms which was very helpful.The cottage has easy access to the beach and town. It's probably more than a three minute walk, but it's still a short walk to either.We made an initial stop at Target to buy some supplies - bath soap, shampoo, coffee, cream, etc. It was good to get that out of the way because Hanalei Bay is a small town.

Appreciated all of the details to make this stay homey and comfortable. Spacious and well appointed cottage, super comfortable for my husband and I and our adult daughter. A short walk to both town and the beach. The property manager was easily reachable when we needed to track down a beach umbrella and extra chair. Beautiful spot, peaceful and picturesque.

This was our second time to Kauai and our first time staying at the cottage. Absolutely fabulous! Walking distance to town and beach. Very clean, well stocked kitchen as well as beach chairs, umbrella, towels, etc. We enjoyed sitting on the covered porch eating breakfast and drinking our morning coffee. The grounds were lovely as was the interior decor. We definitely recommend to others and we hope to be back soon!

This is a lovely, two bedroom two bath cottage tucked into a tidy neighborhood just three blocks away from town and two blocks to the beach. The kitchen was well outfitted and the furniture was comfortable. There was plenty of beach toys, snorkel gear, chairs, and towels.

What a wonderful property!My wife and I along with our 20-something son stayed in the cottage while our son and daughter-in-law stayed with her sister's family of 5 in the main house.The property was pristine and in a great location near beach and town.Best part was the courtyard and decks were great places for the kids to roam. The kitchen was fully stocked with essentials and the entire place was in great condition.Having beach toys and a washer-dryer was the icing on the cake.Thank you to the owners for sharing your special place with guests.Mahalo.

The cottage was perfect for the two of us. We were concerned about no air but had no issue at this time of year sleeping. We so enjoyed the proximity to the beach and town and use of the chairs and boogie boards. We will be back to this gem of a cottage.

We had a lovely 10-day stay at this cottage, located just a short walk from our favorite beach, Hanalei Bay. The house was very nicely decorated, clean and well-maintained. Communication with the owner and the local housekeeper was easy when we had a minor issue with an alarm that we couldn't identify (it was the fridge left ajar).I would definitely try to book this property again.

Ileina's Cottage was the PERFECT home base to explore Hanalei - and this has been my favorite VRBO during all of my visits to Kauai, by far. My adult daughter and I appreciated how close we were to all the Hanalei restaurants and shops, while also being within walking distance to the beach. The cottage was clean and well-stocked, and the owner and on-island contact were both so kind and extremely responsive. The cottage stays nice and cool with all the windows and fans, so future guests shouldn't be concerned about not having AC. I highly recommend staying here - you won't be disappointed!

We loved everything about this cottage! The lush gardens, lanai /front porch, and most especially the location. A short walk takes you to the beach or in to the sweet town of Hanalei. Hanalei Bay has a wonderful beach, ideal for long walks, surfing, swimming, and evening sunsets. The beach chairs, umbrella, and cooler were much appreciated! The cottage is quaint and spacious, perfectly maintained. We took advantage of the close proximity to hike the Kalalau Trail in Ha'ena State Park. Waimea Canyon is spectacular and definitely well worth the drive, as is Polihale State Park. We happened upon the charming town of Hanapepe on one of our return trips. We were happy to have had plenty of days to explore the island as well as relax in Hanalei. We are grateful for our time spent at your lovely property, thank you Elayne and Hilary!

Elayne's cottage was perfect for our week stay in Hanalei. It was exceptionally clean and comfortable. There were three of us (2 adults + 1 child)-- we enjoyed how spacious the cottage was. We cooked many meals at the house and enjoyed eating on the porch every morning and evening. The neighborhood was quiet at night and we enjoyed the sound of the birds singing in the morning. I highly recommend Elayne's cottage.

Nice spacious cottage near beach with beautiful view of mountains. Great porch for meals, reading, coffee and waiting out the rain. Close to shops and restaurants. We rented surfboard and surfed or swam most mornings then went off on other adventures. This was the perfect home base for us. Easy to make meals in well-stocked kitchen. Laundry facilities a bonus. Notes not related to the house, but good to know for tourists: We really wanted to hike part of the Kalalau trail but didn’t make reservations far enough in advance. Make these before you arrive. Also, Waimea Canyon is amazing and well worth the trip across the island. Lastly, don’t miss the Kilauea Lighthouse Wildlife Refuge (reservation needed)!

We had a fantastic time in the cottage. The location is ideal for access to the beach and downtown. It was so nice that the house had beach chairs, umbrellas, sand toys, and even a soccer ball!
