This 4th-row Sea Pines home has an expansive deck with a gorgeous private pool, spa, and built-in gas grill with plenty of room for lounging under swaying palms and dining al fresco. Step in off the deck to a flowing and spacious space that includes the living room. Plus, the suite on the 2nd floor has a private balcony overlooking the pool area. There’s a beach path right behind the house that, in just a 2-minute flip-flop walk, will have you enjoying all the fun and sun the island offers.

The management company was fantastic. There are issues with the house and the company sent people to address them within an hour or two. The house is in need of some major repairs that we hope the owners deal with. Outside doors are rotting out and all of the deck boards need replaced.

Our family consisted of us, our children and grandchildren. The pool is large so the grandkids enjoyed that and the beach is just a minute walk. Being Grandmother, I appreciated the pool being. Visable from the living area. The Salty Dog is a short bike ride away .

While we appreciate the Vacation Company’s prompt response with our requests, this property is in dire need of TLC. Here are a list of things that need improvement:
Deck needs boards replaced and treated badly.
The patio furniture needs updated- it is chipping and the cushions are old and stained- the pool is gorgeous so it would be nice to sit outside and enjoy it.
The hot tub has loose tiles that need repaired to prevent injury.
There needs to be more outdoor furniture and umbrellas to shade the area
The patio table did not have an umbrella and while the pool is shaded the deck and patio furniture are not (An umbrella was brought out upon our second request)
Shower nozzles could be replaced as well as drains
There is a hole in the wall in the master bathroom behind the toilet
There was no toaster or iron available upon arrival (they were brought out quickly when requested)
We also requested to heat the pool and hot tub. The hot tub was fantastic but I do not believe the thermometer was turned up to heat the pool at all. No change was noted or felt in pool temp.
The outside of the house should be power washed at some point as well but this didn’t affect our stay- just a suggestion.
We aren’t sure how often they spray for bugs but we saw several live (fast) bugs the last few days on the second floor and in the kitchen.
The couch in the living room is falling apart. There are torn cushions and beads falling off the cushions.
We have been renting in HHI for over 15 years and this property was disappointing. It has good bones and the potential to be fantastic with its proximity to the beach and the size of the pool. However, the owner should be informed of the updates needed to improve this property.
The vacation company itself was very prompt with our requests but I think it is their responsibility to inspect the property and inform the owner of updates and things that need replaced or added.
We loved having 4 bikes to use during our stay. The company supplies many beach towels as well which is nice to have one less thing to pack. There were also about 8 beach chairs available to us. The kitchen was nice and there was plenty of seating to enjoy meals inside.
I do think this rental ,with some furniture upgrades to the main living room and the patio as well as treating the deck issues, could be a very nice. It takes 2 minutes to get to the beach!
