About this house rental

Crested Butte Rental Lic # 001328. A cozy, well-appointed home in the historic, old town of Crested Butte. Behaved pets are welcome.Two bedrooms and one full bath. We have a bike rack for secure bike storage, off-street parking, and indoor ski storage. Free bus shuttle to the ski area runs every 15 minutes, and stops 1/2 block from our house. We're also one block off Elk Ave (main street), with most all restaurants within 5 blocks, no need for a rental car, just take the shuttle from the airport. We're also just 2 blocks from the grocery/liquor/video/health food stores.

This home features two bedrooms each featuring a queen bed. We are child/infant friendly with a portable crib, highchair, books, sleds and toys. Total Occupancy is 4 People. One off street parking spot.

We stayed during the wildflower festival to hike with our pups and check out the town. Salle is a wonderful hostess who made us all feel like family. The property is cute and clean and the location is perfect. We loved being able to vacation with our pups and enjoyed the comforts and location of the property very much. Highly recommended.

Historic home with all the necessary modern conveniences. We did not bring our dog, but I was pleasantly surprised that no sign of previous four-legged guests was evident. We visited Crested Butte for a wedding and needed a place to stay with our children. Salle's house had everything we needed to accommodate our children and was just a short few blocks away from Elk Ave for dining and shopping. Oh man was this house and city and whole stay amazing! We will be back. House was well stocked and the location was perfect. Just two blocks from the Main Street with coffee shops and restaurants. Also about one block from a large park. Thank you Salle for being a great host.

This is a really nice place to stay. It is clean and quiet, it has a lot of character, and enough space for a family of four (two bedrooms, so one for aid and then the two kids shared a bed and bedroom). The house is an old mining cabin, and the furnishings and fittings give it a very authentic “Crested Butte” vibe. The host was clear, communicative, and provided all of the directions and support we needed. The location is perfect for walking to playgrounds, or to shops and restaurants on Elk Street, or biking from the front door out to the trails. Our family typically stays in crested Butte for a week or so at least once every summer, and we will be looking to see if this place is available on our future trips.

My brother and I stayed at the Redwing house for our annual Crested Butte trip. The house was comfortable, quiet, warm, and in an ideal location for access to restaurants/shopping. Salle was very responsive when we had questions. The house was well-appointed with kitchen amenities and lots of linens. Also, the beds were super-comfortable. Highly recommended!

We had a great vacation staying with Salle at her downtown CB house this summer. We hiked, biked and walked to restaurants from the house, and Salle and her family were gracious hosts. The Redwing House was perfect for our family of 4 (3 adults, 1 kid and 1 dog) & has everything you may need. We'll be back!

Pros: property is very clean; cute and comfortable; thoughtful amenities from the owner; 2 minute walk to Elk Street where most of the restaurants and shops are (which turned out to be good and not so good) Cons: property is 1/2 of a duplex which is apparently being renovated which led to some construction noise (but quiet at night); the property looks like a mess on the outside—we passed it 3 times while looking for it because we couldn’t believe that was where we were staying; because it was summer and there were no AC or fans we had the windows open and had quite a bit of loud foot traffic at night from people going home from Elk Street.

This home is a cozy 1/2-duplex centrally located in CB. 1 block to shops/restaurants on Elk Ave; 1-1/2 blocks to community Arts venue, Visitor's Center & parks. A cozy cabin with a vintage/rustic vibe (it was a historic miner's cabin), that is clean and comfortable. Bonus points for washer/dryer and bikes available for use. Not a lot of space for outdoor living, but you can sit on the little porch and say hello to folks walking around town. The tiny kitchen is cute and functional (dishwasher, microwave, ample cooking utensils). There were 3 of us + my Saint Bernard, so it was a bit tight on space, but we had an enjoyable stay overall.

The location cannot be beat , close to everything - including Elk Ave., the grocery store, and park. We would stay there again , a comfortable and convenient home away from home in CB.

The owners have put a lot of care into making this place as great as it is. Lovely artwork, comfortable eclectic furnishings, all the kitchen items you could want, coffee maker for drip and espresso, etc. and great location near Elk street, the Nordic center, and the shuttle to the ski lifts. We’ve stayed in many downtown CB places, and this is our new favorite.

The house was quaint, and cozy. It was so convenient to elk avenue and all of the shops and restaurants. We had our newborn and toddler so it was perfect to be able to get home quickly from a too late dinner. The house has everything you need and was so clean. Highly recommend staying here like we did in the fall for all of the beautiful scenery in crested butte. Wonderful property

We stayed here for our elopement weekend in CB. A great location, close to everything in town. The house had everything we needed. The only thing I wish would have been better was communication about the check-in process. I received instructions for check in the night before and only after requesting. I was getting nervous but it turned out okay.

My husband skis while I and our dog get outside for other non-skiing winter activities. We’d never been to Crested Butte and heard it was fantastic for skiers and non-skiers alike. It didn’t disappoint, and neither did the Red Wing house. What a great, cozy little place for two people and a dog! We also loved that it was easy walking distance to Elk Ave where shopping, restaurants, and bars are. Definitely would stay here again! ❤️
