Windameir Ski Lodge On Beech Mountain

Great place to stay.

We had a great time and experience!

Cool spot, right near the slopes, everyting we needed to go see a band playing on the slopes. Would definately come back!

Our family of 4 (9 and 11 year old kids) had a fantastic time at the Windameir Property. Below are some details that I hope are helpful for others. We went the first off season week in March, so snow on the roads this trip was not an issue. Location - Super convenient to everything - slopes, several restaurants, Fred's (small grocery and general shop) and the trash drop off. All of those are seriously a 2-3 minute car ride. House Layout - Exactly as advertised --well, EXCEPT for the view -- it had an AMAZING view of the mountain that was not included in the photos (I'll try to upload one from inside the living room looking out). It was neat to see the 'grooming machines' on the mountains in the evenings. On the first floor - you have the Master (King Bed) wit the laundry room attached. And you also have 2 of the other bedrooms, one with a Queen and the other with a double/single bunk bed (these 2 bedrooms share a full bathroom). The 4th bedroom is actually like a 'loft suite' - its a King bed and has its own bathroom. This house fit our needs perfectly as all 4 of us wanted our own private 'space' to complete work/school as needed. Also, the king loft upstairs has a desk (which my husband claimed as his working space). The internet supported our needs just fine!Kitchen - I always bring items we are going to use (extra paper towels, plastic wrap/bags and my own blender), but this kitchen definitely seemed to have everything. The only thing we 'cooked' on our trip was spaghetti, but it looked like they had way more pots and pans then you could ever need! While we don't drink coffee - for those that do, it looks like it had both the cup and traditional makers available. Laundry - Just a heads up, its 'liquid' detergent only. Not an issue for us as we brought our Tide with us, but in case anyone still uses powder, it's good to know!Trash - with bears in the area (thankfully we only saw deer!) but you need to bring the trash to the community center (probably just 1 mile away). Since we ventured out 2-3 times daily, we would just bring it there daily (we ordered out nearly every meal at the house, so we had many bulky pizza and to-go boxes). But just put the placard in your car and its a really easy and quick trip to drop it off! Communication - Property owner was great! Didn't need to bother him while we were there but he gave us recommendations prior to arriving. We are already looking forward to going back next year!
