The views are amazing and the perfect place to have your morning coffee over looking the mountains. The location is perfect for all of your local activities and ski resorts. We enjoyed all of the board games that the cabin is stocked with for family fun.

We were on a trip to tour colleges within 1.5 hours of this VRBO so we wanted a home base vs. changing hotels. The views from here are beautiful, even though we were well past fall colors. The mountains/clouds/sunsets were incredible. The host is very responsive, answered all of my questions prebooking with a lot of patience (and I had a lot never having been to the area, including about parking, stairs, etc.), and also the ones I sent while we were there asking about things happening locally, which I really appreciated. Follow what she sends for directions or you will end up in the wrong place (lessons learned with google not far away, just oops). Kitchen was well stocked, the upstairs had the arcade game which was fun. It was too cold/windy to be out on either deck to hang out, but had it been warmer, that would have been a great space to relax. Our son is over 6'2", so he hit his head on spiral staircase a few times, but fine if he ducked. Super close to Beech Mountain resort and restaurants. Fred's is really expensive (over 5 for a bag of shredded cheese), so grab groceries on your way in from one of the other stores. Easy access to the other mountains in the area for more hiking/biking/touristy things. Emerald Outback Trails is just up the mountain and is beautiful for views, and my son enjoyed the mountain bike trails there, even in the 50 MPH wind that day. We would definitely stay here again if we staying in the area. Thanks for having us!

First thoughts were, when we walked in it smelled great! Not musty or stale. That was lovely. Everything about our stay was perfect. The linens were high quality and there was plenty of them. The kitchen was fully stocked with well maintained supplies. Cooking for my family of 7 was no problem. The views were gorgeous. And we loved all the deer we saw constantly. The only thing I would say was a "negative" was the spiral stairs and that's only because our dogs couldn't walk up them so we had to go outside and walk around to the upper door. My kids however, LOVED them.
