About this house rental
Imagine yourself sitting on the wrap around porch in the morning drinking your coffee and looking out and seeing white tail deer, listening to wild turkeys roosting, or just the sounds of nature. You are in the middle of a 2500 acre farm tucked away from all the sounds and lights of the city. To get to your house you will travel a gravel driveway cross a small creek and a beautiful small waterfall. Don't worry all sorts of vehicles can make the drive. There are many hiking trails in the knobs that start just outside your door so pack a picnic and stop at the picnic table on the trail and enjoy nature at its best. We are also located in the middle of the Bourbon Trail with many historic sites, churches and quaint small towns. Visit Maker's Mark and the cooperage where they make the barrels for the bourbon only 8 miles away. Louisville and Lexington are 65 miles from the farm. After a day of exploring come back to this tucked away piece of heaven. Sit by the fire pit and relive the day as you gaze at the bright stars and hear all the sounds of nature. We also would like to show you the workings of a farm, we raise beef cattle and have a cow/ calf operation along with some grain farming. This property offers you peace and tranquility, so sit back and relax as you enjoy your stay.

Lovely property, all the beds were SUPER comfortable and just the right amount of space for the six of us and our dog. So much beautiful land around the house with really neat trails to walk the dog (or without a dog!). Close to our Makers Mark visit and Green River Lake where we rented a boat for a day. Would definitely recommend this stay!

This property was a God send! Traveling to Lebanon for the LL State Tournament with our family (plus my mom and mother in law) was turned into a needed quiet getaway! This beautiful, cozy home was not only comfortable with all the amenities, it was tucked into a slice of God's natural paradise. Caron was so kind and thoughtful. We would definitely stay here again! 10/10

Thank you for offering this lovely home away from home. We appreciated the special touches throughout and quiet country retreat with family. Children could run and play, plenty of gathering spaces, lovely views and great well equipped kitchen for family meals. And the cows were a fun experience 😊

Especially in the time of COVID, a great little getaway for our family to come together and just enjoy each other's company and break away from the world around us. A substantial property, away from everything, very private--and with 3 small kids and 2 dogs, definitely helped us not disturb any neighbors! Very well-supplied kitchen, and good quality stuff too. The quality of the knives in the knife block was telling enough! For cooking implements and dishes, we had everything we needed for a week of cooking meals, including Thanksgiving, and by contacting the host ahead of time, she ensured we had any specialty items we needed.We had plenty of space inside and out, and in late November, the fire pit was a great attribute. The host was very responsive to all of our inquiries ahead of time, and follow-up after. Instructions on check-in process were very clear, and easy to follow. Couldn't ask for better.My only complaint was that I was under the impression when searching for a house that slept 10, this house actually is meant to sleep 8, any anything over was extra. The added cost took me by surprise, but glad we stuck with the house regardless. I mentioned this to the host, and have noted that since then, it is clear in the listing that it sleeps 8. Otherwise everything was exactly as advertised - and better!Also worth noting that cell reception is poor. The house is fitted with wireless internet, so you have plenty of connectivity that way, but not easy to make/receive calls over mobile networks. For our part, definitely not complaining, it was exactly what we wanted! But worth noting for anyone who expects otherwise.I would HIGHLY recommend this place if you're looking to get away. Plenty of space to explore, or just relax and enjoy the beauty of the world around you. Extra bonus if you're looking to hit the bourbon trail!
