About this house rental
This large lakefront home has a relaxed atmosphere. It is fabulous in all seasons. It is 5 minutes away from all amenities and entertainment that Penticton has to offer, is on a popular wine route and 5 min from the famous Skaha Bluffs hiking and rock climbing destination. It is also 48 min from Apex mountain Ski Resort. This home is a great venue for multiple family gatherings and groups of people looking for a fun week in the sun or snow. There is a lake-level lower deck for lunches and romantic evenings by the beach. The entire house faces the lake and Western mountains for beautiful sun sets and star gazing. This is not a fancy resort, but it is a comfortable older home that offers a shallow bay, 100 foot private beach and buoy to hook the boat up to. All towels, bedding and kitchen supplies are included. This home is child and pet friendly. If you are looking for a laid back week, you have found your destination.

It was great to have a place to stay that could host so many people, and in a great location, at that! It was a very quirky home and it could stand to have a second bathroom on the lower level, but we made it work somehow. The gusts were very responsive and accommodating which was great!

The location of this property is wonderful. We spent most our time outside by the lake. We had five couples and four children to find accommodations for I would say that there are four bedrooms. There are two areas that they’re considering bedrooms that I would not. I think it would be a good idea if they adjusted the listing to describe those two areas as optional sleep areas suitable for children. One of the couples in our group did not have a pleasant place to sleep.

My best friends and I celebrated our 10 year friendaversary at this heaven on earth home ♥️ We stayed 3 nights and were so impressed with the accommodations, all 13 of us slept so comfortably in our rooms and we were able to enjoy every meal together around the massive dining room tables. Our favourite part was outside in the backyard though! Beautiful, lush lawn meets the refreshing water of skahalake along with 2 docks and multiple decks. It was pure bliss and where we spent most of the weekend. So much room for all of us to be together the whole time, which is exactly what we wanted. Thank you so much to this home! You’ve helped us create a tradition that will live on for many more years to come.
