On Red Mill Pond (a 178 acre, Delaware's largest fresh water body) 6 miles from Lewes, Delaware and the beaches
Close to movie theaters and outlet shopping and all the beaches have to offer.

Easily sleeps 8 people.
Renovated,, fully stocked gourmet kitchen, two story living room and dining room opening to a large deck overlooking the lake. Two story stone fireplace.
Dock with kayaks and canoe available for use. Large private yard fully fenced.
First floor. 2 bedrooms ( Queen, two twin beds), full bathroom (6' soaker tub + shower) and family room with kitchenette.
Second floor. 1 bedroom (two twin beds), full bathroom (6' soaking tub and shower), Kitchen, Living room, dining room.
Third floor. loft bedroom with full bath (6' soaking tub) attached. (king bed)
Spiral staircases from first to second floor and from second to third floor. (outside stairs available from first floor to second floor.) Second floor is primary living area.
Please note that the house is poorly set up for toddlers and very young children (under 6) and difficult to child proof
There is a $175 cleaning and linen fee.
This house and surroundings are a serene and quiet oasis. If you are a party of ten guys on golf outing, not for you. If you are 10 gals on a bachelorette excursion, not for you. It is great for multi generational family gatherings where every one can have their own spaces and relax and enjoy all the local amenities, Then have the fishing and kayaking on a beautiful, peaceful 175 acre "pond". A recent guest caught bass, catfish, white perch, yellow perch and blue gills.
Swimming in the pond is only feasible from kayaks away from dock area as shore is silty and mucky. Also, depending on rainfall and heat there can be a fair amount of algae near dock area.
Close to movie theaters and outlet shopping and all the beaches have to offer.

We absolutely loved staying at this beautiful house that truly gave us the "best of both worlds". With early morning canoe trips on the lake and then heading to the beach each day, it was perfect for everything my family wanted to experience on our vacation!!! The house was super clean, spacious, lots of sleeping spaces & rooms; and came with an amazing kitchen (that had every utensil/pots/pans that I needed to cook for our big family); and a gorgeous yard that our dogs just loved to run and play in!! I would highly recommend this property & we plan to come back in the future!! Thanks so much to our wonderful hosts who were very responsive when needed!!

Two adults and two kids and we loved this home. All the details were really wonderful, the beds were comfortable, it was a quiet neighborhood the was close to everything between Lewes and Milton. The lake was very peaceful and the gardens were just coming into bloom. Parking is a little tight and the spiral stairs took some getting used to, but we would highly recommend this home.

This is a lovely property, very quiet and feels secluded yet close to so many things - grocery stores, beaches, wineries, restaurants, breweries, nature preserves. The host was wonderful in their communication and very easy to work with. Our dogs loved the yard and we greatly appreciated the owners leaving fresh bowls of water for their arrival. This house had the most well-stocked kitchen of any Vrbo I’ve stayed in, with coffee pots, tea kettles, a beautiful stove, plenty of dishes and kitchenware. There were lots of board games, tons or books, kayaks, canoes and comfy beds and bedding. We enjoyed the quiet of the yard and the peacefulness of kayaking and canoeing on the pond. As they mention, there are spiral staircases jbut also a regular set of stairs outside leading to the second floor. This wasn’t a problem for our dogs. We stayed with our adult children and pets.

the gardens and yard are beautiful. the house is located close enough to the beach and parks to visit daily. lots of nice restaurants around.
