This sandstone-built cottage rests on the outskirts of Armathwaite in Cumbria and can sleep four people in two bedrooms.

Swallows Nest is a semi-detached barn conversion located on the fringes of Armathwaite, adjacent to a dairy farm in Cumbria. It boasts two bedrooms; a double and a twin, sleeping four altogether. There is also a shower room and an open-plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area. To the exterior is your own private garden with patio and lawn, and there is ample off-road parking. Swallows Nest invites you to enjoy a quality break exploring the Lake District.

Wood-fired Hot tub available Sunday to Friday not Saturday. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Stairgate available. Ample off-road parking. Enclosed lawn and patio with furniture. Two well-behaved pets welcome but are not allowed upstairs. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 1 mile. Note: Sloping ceilings in bedrooms. Region: Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.

Town: Armathwaite is placed for exploring the Lake District, Eden Valley and the Solway Firth. It has two pubs with restaurants, a Post Office and a shop, with The River Eden running through the village. The area is known for fishing, walking, canoeing and climbing. Armathwaite Castle is a four-storey Pele Tower, and the 15th century church has stained glass windows. The Eden Gorge, between Lazonby and Armathwaite is worth exploring. The railway station is a stop on the Settle-to-Carlisle Railway, a beautiful journey.
