About this house rental

The Presidents Walk and Southard Court community is located in the Truman Annex Complex which is located 2 blocks from Duval Street and all of the Old Town Key West attractions. The properties are also located less than a half mile from one of the best beaches on the island, Fort Zachary Taylor State Park and Beach. The Presidents Walk properties are two level townhouses which have private courtyards on the first level and balconies on the second level. All properties are outfitted with washer/dryer, fully equipped kitchen, towels and linens, have central air conditioning, off street parking and pool access.

Overall we had a great stay at Sailor's Story in The truman Annex. She house was very clean, had everything we needed, exactly like the pictures posted, and in a great location. Would definitely stay there again.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This rental was better than previous rentals. The second bedroom is very small and the associated bathroom shower was difficult to stand in. This rental would be acceptable for a week stay. We are disappointed that one week stays may no longer be available. We are not interested in a month rental, so we will be looking for accommodations other than the Truman Annex.

Great place to stay. Helpful staff. The neighborhood is so picturesque. Pool is nice. Parking is very very tight. And figuring out how to get in and out of the Annex is challenging but once you figure it out, it’s easy!

The Sailor's Story was very clean. It was close to everything that we wanted to go to on Duval St., Hemingway House. Michelle from Compass Realty was very helpful with any questions we had, Will stay there again .

The house is beautiful, especially the back outdoor space, which we spent most of our time while there. The pool was right behind us and heated perfectly. My only recommendation would be to have a more comfortable pull out sofa bed.

We have stayed in Truman Amex many times. and enjoyed our stay. The property was well appointed with close proximity to the pool and parking. Electronics all easy to use with fast internet. The only improvement would be the inclusion of some beach chairs

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location and the Truman Annex is a quiet oasis from the hustle and bustle of Duval. The condo has a lot of potential but is needing some maintenance and TLC. There was a water stain on the 1st floor ceiling from a leak from the 2nd floor tub. The AC vents were filled with lint and needed cleaning. Living room sofa was dingy with stains on the high touch surfaces. The walls needed touching up. The tile floor had cracks and stains

OVERALL IT IS A GREAT HOUSE, YOU NEED TO HAVE THE ELECTRIC OUTLETS LOOKED AT ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE DINING ROOM, IT SPARKED WHEN A CHARGER WAS PLUGGED IN, AND THE FURNITURE COULD USE A LITTLE UPDATE. OTHER THAN THAT IT IS FABULOUS

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed here before in 2020 and liked it. The unit has a lot going for it-location, nice patio, two baths. The furniture was fairly comfortable, and for TV lovers there is a huge TV--though its difficult to stream as the owners have left their own account info active. Unfortunately, though the regular cleaning staff was thorough, the unit has seen a lot of hard use in the last two years and at a minimum needs a deep cleaning. The sofa and rugs need a good shampooing, etc. Also, the bathrooms are original and show it. The way the kitchen was stocked was odd-lots of some things (like pitchers) but missing other day to day items.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: 2 Adults 2 Teenagers. This rental unit is in a great location between Southard and Fleming with the pool directly behind it. The king bed is really comfortable and the secondary room is on the small side. Everything in the unit is nice and updated. The kitchen is loaded with everything you need but the downstairs TV requires a PHD to operate. The back patio is nice to sit and have coffee and we sat out there every morning. We used the pool often and there were plenty of towels. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.

Kitchen had paper towel holder detached from wall, not outside lighting on front porch, two of the three toilets were basically not working correctly. If I were the owner, would never have a property that I was presenting to a client like this. Paid $2700
for this? Concerned that Compass is not on top of the owners. Our families were renting two other home last week and they were great!

Would like to suggest getting some beach chairs for guests. Bedrooms were a little smaller than we had anticipated. We were two couples and second bedroom was a tad small once converted into king bed. Sofas could need a good deep clean. Very short walk to a great pool. Short walk to park and restaurants. Bike to Beach. Make sure to bring water shoes to beach, lots of coral to walk on. Small issue for a great deep water beach. The neighborhood is beautiful and lush.

We absolutely loved our stay. Our boys have actually opted to go back to key west next year vs our other plans because they had such a wonderful time. The condo was clean, well furnished, communication with the management company was excellent, and they took care of our parking issue quickly and easily (the full size suv did not fit in the covered parking). I have already contacted the company to find us a place for next year.

My husband and I could not have been in a better location on Key West, the Truman Annex is perfect for enjoying all of KW. Marissa with Compass Realty fully understands the meaning of customer service. The initial property we booked had a major maintenance issue at 7 PM the second night of our stay. Within 20 minutes Marissa had us moved into a new townhouse a few doors down. The Sago Palm Townhouse was clean and well furnished. The kitchen has all the equipment to cook your meals. Beach towels included. Since the photos were taken there is new bedding, a grill and patio furniture with an umbrella. Make sure you rent bikes for the duration of your stay, it makes getting around a lot easier. We biked to the Southernmost Point, St. Mary's by the Sea, and all of Key West! I would highly recommend this property.
