Oceanfront 4BR/3BA Single-Family Home/June 14th week just opened/10% discount

Ocean view was spectacular once you climbed to the top of the dunes. We were lucky as the recent stirm did minimal damage the the breakwall. The boardwalk had suffered major damage to the breakwall eroding massive amounts of sand. Other than that weather was great. Perfect autumn weather.

In addition to being right on the beach the location to downtown and the boardwalk was excellent. The house provided exactly what was expected of beach house in Bethany. It was comfortable and welcoming. There was only two of us, but could easily host a large family. Beach toys and accessories were readily available. Parking which is a premium during the high season, provides ample room for several vehicles.

This was an incredible place to stay! Location: SO close to the beach, activities, and nature. Amenities: Wonderfully appointed, with the ability to play pickleball/swim just down the road at beautiful facilities. The owners are so incredibly nice—I can’t wait to return.

Beautiful location! Thanks for the heads up about the linens prior to arrival, which minimized the aggravation of doing laundry before departure. This should have been included in the listing. A call to the owners concerning 'only hot water' in washing machine irregardless of the setting WAS promptly addressed. However it required TWO service calls on consecutive days to identify the problem. Washing and rinsing in hot setting only was definitely an inconvenience and potentially damaging to some materials, much less an increase in utility costs. The owners were sensitive enough to not push the third service call on our last full day, this happened b/c we missed the plumber's attempt to contact. We happened to be on the beach, which is beautiful! The last significant issue was the overall cleanliness of property. There was sand left on landing and stairs. We realize that this is the beach, but upon arrival? Dusting/vacuum behind furniture (popcorn in the den, throat lozenge lost behind night stand, and a colony of dust bunnies behind the door in upstairs hallway bathroom) was inadequate and superficial. The bathroom mats were dirty and had to be taken up! The lid on kitchen trashcan was dirty with dried debris and stains from whenever. We cleaned it and used the trashcan without lid. We strongly recommend a different cleaning service who pays attention to detail. The ice maker was great! It made more cubes than we could use! The proximity to beach and access to nearby pools was truly the highlight as time spent in the house itself just revealed the neglect this home has suffered. This was especially disappointing since the owners themselves use the property, which should have given them a personal assessment of the conditions. The owners decline any effort to account for/rectify our mixed feelings on this stay.
