no view of gulf!!!!
no view of gulf!!!!
I have stayed at several condos in the Gulf Shores area over the past few years and I do not like to complain but I could not refrain from commenting on this stay. This condo has been the most disappointing. I did see the photos of the condo but did not realize that this condo looked out over the street....with no gulf view whatsoever. It set the tone for the entire stay. As we sat on the balcony, all we could hear were cars & trucks going down the highway. It took away from the entire experience. When we went down to the pool area, I could not see the beach because of a cement wall. Unable to go on the beach due to my disabilities, the only water view I could get was if I walked on the walkway leading to the beach. The pool area was clean but not big enough although the lazy river was fun. My grandchildren enjoyed the splash pad and on a rainy Sunday, the indoor pool was big enough with plenty of hot tubs to accommodate the crowd. We wished that there had been a snack bar by the pools or some type of food service (there were vending machines inside). I also wish there was some music in the pool area. The ambience was missing. Inside the condo, the floors were dirty enough to turn our toddlers' feet black so we scrubbed the floors ourselves. The king mattress in the one bedroom was so worn that I kept rolling toward the floor. The kitchen had plenty of dishes and pots and pans but sorely needed is a nonstick skillet to make eggs without sticking. Hopefully this will correct some things for others.
