Your lodging with a view of the bay in Fort de France

Hosts were extremely welcoming, came and got us when we got lost en route to the house upon arrival. The property is beautiful, with spectacular views from the patio. It looks exactly like the photos. Fabulous breeze kept us cool on the patio from morning coffee until after dinner drinks. Two nice restaurants within walking distance for dinners if you don’t feel like driving.

If you are looking for an open air villa surrounded by flowers, with a view of the ocean while you enjoy slightly chilled rose wine and appetizers this is the spot!Without a car, you can walk 20 minutes down a gradual slope to the local shopping mall. At the end of the street , you have the option to walk 212 stairs down and 212 stairs up inlaid mosaic stairs with local roosters, chickens, and cats accompanying you.. A 10 minute walk gets you to the core of Fort de France.With a car it is easy access to the highway and all of Martinique. Once the gate closes behind you , the gardens, view and breeze are a welcome relief after a busy day of sightseeing.The owners are so responsive , while being respectful of your privacy. Full kitchen to make meals and very comfortable sectional couch for relaxing in the evenings. Watch the cruise ships, catamarans , and sailboats glide in and out of the bay. Just remember you are in the city limits so expect city noise from time to time.An excellent villa for a family get together spot and jumping off point to explore the island.Merci, thank you for an unforgettable month long stay!

We stayed 14 days in this beautiful property. It was exactly as depicted, but even better!!! The veranda and garden area were so lovely and peaceful. It is a perfect place to enjoy the warm Martinique nights, beautiful sunsets, or breakfast overlooking the bay. The inside living area was spacious, with a large living/dining room, large bedrooms, and a stocked kitchen. Thierry and Marie-Jose were terrific hosts. Although we got lost getting there (OUR fault!), Marie-Jose was patient enough to help us navigate to the property and greeted us warmly. They were so helpful with suggestions on what to see on the island and spoke English very well. There are great day trips to St. Pierre, Balata Garden, and Les Trios-Ilets. Short jaunts to the city center to see the Schoelcher Library and other museums and enjoy local fare for lunch. We recommend renting a car if you stay here. My father loved the property so much that he wanted to stay another week by the time we left. We wish we were back in Martinique now. What a great place! We loved all the outdoor space and the wonderful view of the harbour. The three bedroom flat had more than ample room for our family - two adult children, plus an uncle - to relax and each have their own space. The apartment is within a short walking distance of shops and restaurants in the centre of town, as well as the ferry which will take you over to the beaches at Anse Mitan. Communication with Marie-José was super easy and check-in was a breeze. Our hosts were wonderful and made sure that we had everything we needed. We loved the fact that there was a spot to park our rental car. If I go back to Martinique, I would stay here again, in a heartbeat and I highly recommend that you do too! Quel super endroit! L'appartement de trois chambres était assez spacieux pour notre famille - deux enfants adultes et un oncle - pour se détendre et chacun avait son propre espace. L'appartement se trouve à une courte distance de marche des commerces et restaurants du centre-ville, ainsi que du ferry qui vous emmènera sur les plages de l'Anse Mitan. La communication avec Marie-José était super facile et le check-in aussi. Nos hôtes étaient merveilleux et se sont assurés que nous avions tout ce dont nous avions besoin. Nous avons adoré le fait qu'il y avait une place pour garer notre voiture de location. Si je retourne en Martinique, j'y reviendrais sans hésiter et je vous recommande fortement de le faire aussi !
