My husband and I are just back from a week in this beautiful house in St. Remy. It is perfectly located just inside the ring road, steps away from shopping and restaurants. A private parking space is just a short walk away. The property was very clean, beautifully decorated, and the kitchen was well equipped. We enjoyed using the rooftop deck, even though there was a mistral while we were there! I highly recommend the property.

This is our second stay at this apartment. We loved it the first time, and it didn't disappoint this time. It is very conveniently situated in the heart of the town, within walking distance of everything - shops, restaurants, bakeries... The apartment itself is very well presented with a large bedroom and bathroom downstairs and another upstairs, each separate and private. It works very well for two couples. One small caveat is that the upstairs is reached by a wooden spiral staircase so not suitable for those who may not be too mobile. We are older, and it wasn't a problem for us, but fair warning... The furnishings are exactly as advertised, and the attention to detail in the artworks is fabulous. It is clean, airy, and the roof terrace is delightful. Once you sit out in the evening with a glass of wine you will know you are truly among the rooftops of a beautiful Provencal town.

We stayed 8 nights in early November. Owner Theirry and Property Manager Dominique were both great! Both spoke English well. Apartment is charming and so well located in the heart of the historic town of Saint Remy with easy nearby assigned parking spot which was a great plus. What can I say about the rooftop terrace equipped with a gas grill for a fantastic sunset "apero" hour. Fantastic! It's a second floor walk-up so be aware if steps are a problem...but location is worth the climb! Merci pour ce séjour agréable!

As described the apartment is quite calm at nights despite being in the centre. Good air-conditioning is available for hot days. The private parking was a big plus, since public parkings are quite busy on some days. Perfect choice for all, who love to walk to the bakery or other shops in the morning or want to return from restaurants without car.

Had a return visit to this great apartment and everything was fantastic. Perfect space for two couples, with the well-appointed and comfortable living/dining/kitchen area. The two large bedrooms had quality beds and linens. Best of all, the weather was perfect for enjoying the outside terrace. Even used the bbq. Thanks for sharing your home.

We were two couples, all seniors. We stayed at La Garconnière for three weeks in September 2022. This is the first time we had stayed in a place where we could walk right out the front door onto the pedestrian streets. We made the most of the great location, walking for croissants each morning and sampling many of the restaurants all within easy walking distance. In advance of arriving in St-Rémy, we contacted Thierry and he was very responsive to our questions and provided us with great restaurant recommendations. The check-in process was very smooth. We contacted Dominique the day before we arrived to arrange a time to meet her outside the front door. She helped us with all our questions and stayed in contact during our stay, providing us with useful information about things to do in the St-Rémy area. As older adults, we were somewhat apprehensive about the spiral staircase between the two floors and the single steps down to the bedroom and to the bathroom. But after a day or two we became quite comfortable with the situation. We weren’t quite sure how to use the washing machine and dryer at first but we were able to find English versions of the manuals online. Both machines worked well and we made good use of them. It was very convenient having indoor parking located just a few minutes walk away. We only had to use our car when we wanted to explore the region. Although it is quite small, we were able to get most groceries at the Spar supermarket in the centre of town just a few minutes walk away. We would highly recommend La Garconnière to anyone who wants to immerse themselves in the unique attractions of St-Rémy-de-Provence without having to worry about finding parking space.

I stayed in La Garconiere for six weeks, two with a friend, four solo. It was absolutely perfect. Start by going up a sweeping stone staircase one floor to the front door. Open the door to a small hallway with a gorgeous bathroom with double sinks and a sublime bathtub. Separate toilet. Up three steps to the great-room; kitchen on the left with everything you could possibly need. I don't cook, but my friend turned out fabulous meals (ingredients purchased from the Wednesday market), admittedly mostly using the BBQ on the deck. Round table for four, then large living room area. Off the side is the first bedroom, with a queen size bed, and fabulous original floor tiles. Before I take you upstairs, look around at all the decor and artwork. It's amazing, with lots of little touches and hidden treasures you don't notice for a few days. Up the wooden spiral staircase to the second floor. A huge sitting room, with a shower room at one end, and the bedroom at the other, with a queen size bed. Again with the decor and artwork... And the best feature of all, a large rooftop deck with great seating, umbrella, BBQ, and small laundry room. We sat out on the deck for coffee in the morning, cocktails and occasionally dinner in the evening. The apartment would be perfect for two couples. And location? Could seriously not be better. It is right on the edge of the pedestrian area of the historic old town. A few steps takes you to many restaurants and shops, and the Wednesday market. Add to all of this the dedicated inside parking spot just down the road, and your car will always be cool inside. One small word of caution, St Remy has many fete and festival days, and sometimes closes the ring road around the old town to traffic. Pay attention to the posted notices, because you will not be able to drive your car. Move it to the huge public parking lot. Or better yet stay for the festival because you will be entertained by music, parades, horse-drawn carts, and even thousands of sheep run around the town. Amazing. Could my six weeks at La Garconiere have been any better? Only if I could come back next year.

A beautiful apartment in the heart of a wonderful town. Lovely roof top terrace and well equipped kitchen. My only question would be, does every guest buy cleaning equipment ? There was no washing up liquid, basic cleaner, cloths etc Perhaps a note that these are to be provided would be useful. Other than that very minor point, we absolutely loved the apartment and would highly recommend.

We stayed in Thierry's apartment for two weeks and were delighted with the location, the facilities, the decoration ......... in fact it was five star holiday for us. St Remy allows one to enjoy the atmosphere, travel to other interesting places and become immersed into the life of this typical yet sophisticated Provencal town. All of the name destinations (Avignon, Arles, L'isle sur la Sourge for example) are very accessible. The spectacular Carrieres des Lumieres at Les Baux maybe reached by a medium challenging hike or bicycle - not to be missed! Numerous restaurants of all price ranges, from Michelin to take out, are within short walking distance - no need for car or taxi unless you wish to go further afield. We enjoyed the friendly and fine cooking of Bistrots on the ring road - especially with the Rose wine! The Wednesday Market provides every opportunity for food to fashion shopping. One could easily spend a month or more here and the apartment is so well located and provided for that one can become a "resident" of St. Remy. Thierry was a prompt and attentive host and for those of us with English as our first language his facility with English makes the arrangements extremely easy. We thoroughly recommend La Garçonnière in Saint-Rémy and would return again.

Just completed a three week stay at La Garçonnière and I can’t say enough good things about it. The apartment is charming and filled with personality and art. The kitchen is well equipped and had everything we needed to warm up prepared foods purchased locally. I highly recommend Pasta Nostra on Rue de Republicque, a 5 minute walk at most. They have fresh pasta and prepared Italian delicacies as well as local wine and oils. The owners are delightful. One of the best meals I had was at Bravo’s . Don’t be fooled by the street signage, it is much more than pizza. I had the best steak frites, wine and salad there one night. Also Fratelli’s is great food and lively service.The apartment is lovely, peaceful and the outdoor patio is a treat. I played light jazz on the sound system upstairs while I prepared my breakfast most mornings- thank you Thierry and Jean-Paul for your wonderful selection of music. The SMART TV was wonderful and I logged on to my Netflix account and watched many of my favorite shows that way.I did laundry in the upstairs washer/dryer and used the drying rack for most everything except towels. Delphine works full time but was helpful and just a wonderful and lovely person who lives locally.Thierry answered all my questions quickly and respectfully. I treated this lovely home as if it were my own...cleaning, tidying and being respectful of lights and heat every day!! I hated to leave and get back to work! Many thanks for allowing me this opportunity to experience Provence like a local.

My husband and I stayed at the centre of the village in this lovely 2 level duplex. The location was great, on a small side street just off the main pedestrian walkway. It has been very nicely decorated, which gave a luxurious feel. We were extremely happy with this property. Thierry was very helpful in English in all of our communications and it was a pleasure to deal with him.

We have just enjoyed a month in the delightful ‘la Garçonière’ during summer. It is spacious, very comfortable and decorated with fabulous style and a mix of quality furniture and art - old, new and quirky. The entire apartment is very well appointed - in particular, the range and quality of kitchen/dining equipment and tableware are outstanding. The rooftop terrace is a bonus and we often relaxed with a glass of rosé under the stars enjoying the cooling air after warm days. The location is perfect - everything you might want to do or see in the village is just steps away. Saint Remy is a lively village with plenty of activities especially during the summer, and it’s an ideal base for exploring Provence. Communication with Thierry was excellent - he very responsive both before, during and after our stay (our security deposit was refunded very quickly) and the information provided about the house, directions, parking in the village was very helpful. We highly recommend la Garçonière for a comfortable and authentic stay at Saint Remy.

St. Remy and Thierry's apartment was our home during our week stay in Provence. The apartment was excellent with a large amount much space! It was very clean and the pictures perfectly depict the space. The bedrooms are a good size and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the plates, cutlery, glasses, and pots and pans you will need. The apartment is only a half a block from one of the main streets where there are a lot of options for restaurants. There are two grocery stores within a 5 minute walk. There are many cute little stores around the condo and an excellent shop around the corner where you can buy many different types of prepared food to bring back and heat up. Thierry was excellent to deal with from my first enquiry email. He was very responsive and answered all my questions promptly. Delphine (local host) was also very helpful and answered all the questions we had. We will definitely be back to Provence and will be renting Thierry's apartment again! Doug and Kelly

Outstanding location - can't think of a better one. Outstanding, well appointed, spacious and clean apartment. The one flight of stairs to the main level are steep and curved. The flight of stairs to the upper floor are steeper and curvier, but we two 60-something women did fine with it. The upper floor is practically it's own apartment. I hope to always stay here when I'm in Provence.

We have just enjoyed a fabulous week in La Garconniere. It is wonderfully situated in the heart of the old town and just a minute's walk to pick up provisions. The layout of the apartment is lovely, it is very well equipped, and we particularly enjoyed using the pretty terrace in the evenings for bbq and a glass of wine - such a bonus to have in an apartment with a great central location. Communication with Thierry before our stay was great and Delphine, the local contact during our stay, was extremely helpful. Would definitely recommend. Thank you again.

A five star hotel cannot compare to this exquisite apartment!. The furnishings are all top of the line but with a feel of warmth and comfort. Relaxing on the rooftop terrace is a perfect way to end your day and enjoy the 'starry, starry night' of Van Gogh times. The apartment is ideally located in the heart of the town. We loved to shop the little boutiques as well as travel to Avignon, La Mere by the Sea, and Arles as well as explore the city itself and all that it has to offer. Within a five minute walk of the apartment there is a grocery store, a fantastic wine shop, and a patisserie. Parking is nearby and it is free. David and Mary Alice John and Kate September 2016

Everything about this flat is great. The communication with Thierry was excellent - he answered all of our questions and sent us lots of great information to make the stay easy. The location of the flat is perfect, right on a walking lane in St. Remy overlooking the daily life of the shops but also very quiet. There's a lot of restaurants within walking distance with a great take out/caterer and creperie just below. There are two boulangeries just a few minutes walk away as well as a small fully stocked grocery store. It's a two story flat with two bedrooms/two baths, a very well equipped kitchen (huge western refrigerator), a main living area and a secondary seating area that opens on to the private rooftop terrace. The terrace is a great place to eat or have drinks with a view overlooking the rooftops of the village. We found St. Remy to be a great base to explore the local area of Provence - all major cities and sights were less than an hour away. We had a great time and would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to take their vacation to the next level with authentic accommodation.

Wieder ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt in dieser geschmackvoll eingerichteten Wohnung. Auf der schönen Dachterrasse, habe wir für einige Stunden die Sonne geniessen dürfen. Wir fühlen uns hier wie zuhause. Und zu Fuss sind Bäcker, Lebensmittelladen, Boutiquen und Restaurants bestens zu erreichen, während das Auto sicher in der Garage parken darf. Wir haben eine, entsprechend der Beschreibung, schöne und sehr gut ausgestattete Wohnung mit fantastischer Dachterrasse vorgefunden. Aufgrund der Corona-Krise konnten wir leider nur 3 Wanderungen ist den Bergen der Alpilles absolvieren - danach befolgten wir die Anweisungen der Ausgangssperre. Das tolle Wetter (Sonne und um die 20°C, die gemütliche Dachterrasse und die Ruhe haben uns aber voll "entschädigt". Wir können die Region, Saint Rémy und die Wohnung von Thierry unbedingt sehr empfehlen.
