We had a wonderful holiday at "Le Mas de Joseph". The location of the house is ideal to explore the beautiful region. At the end of the day you could enjoy a dive in the swimming pool and enjoy the silence of the environment.

This was one of the best holidays we have ever had. The location of Mas de Joseph is perfect - very convenient for many of the best sites in Provence, including Avignon and Arles, and very near the historic village of Les Baux de Provence. The chateau at Les Baux is worth a day out on its own - especially as they demonstrate trebuchets, blacksmithing, and you can have a go at archery there. The village Les Baux is worth a second trip. Also very near to the Carrieres des Lumieres, a light and sound show in a disused quarry exhibiting projections of great art. This is breathtaking and highly recommended. Local villages and towns have great shops and restaurants. We particularly liked Fontveille. Mas de Joseph is stunningly beautiful, set in the grounds of a farm in the middle of a National Park, surrounded by rocky hills, orchards and olive groves. We particularly liked the animals on the farm - especially the pig, but there are also donkeys, deer, geese, chickens, cattle, and a friendly little dog. The manager, Silvaine is well informed, very helpful and speaks very good English. I would particularly recommend this gite for families. There are just the right number of gites to ensure a good mix of people without it becoming over crowded. The atmosphere is very relaxed and friendly. The facilities are excellent and include a boules court, ping-pong table, badminton net, football pitch as well as a wonderful swimming pool with plenty of space for sunbathing including shade.
