Nice location but not so near public transport and no nearby amenities because it’s in a residential area but very safe

Everything, clean, well kept and comfortable. friendly hosts and clear instructions upon arrival.

Self contained annexe in garden of main property,accessed through roller door of garage. Clean, modern with everything needed to make our short stay comfortable and enjoyable. Hosts were welcoming and very friendly. We actually turned up a day early by mistake and Mrs.Maclean was quite willing to do whatever she could to accomodate us in some rooms in her main house. When I checked my dates I was actually a day early for the ticketed event we were in town for , so it was just as easy to go home and return the following day.

The location - close to Moseley village and city center. The access to the lovely garden. Having the family home there in case I had an emergency. The kitchen was quite nice and had the necessary equipment. The owners were very responsive and helpful. The house was warm and cosy.

I could not get the shower to work. I was sick so did not want to call on the owner to help me but even after following the instructions the shower was either boiling hot or freezing cold. I ended up using a pan of water for the shower and washed my hair in the kitchen sink. The toilet kept dripping water as did the bathroom tap. I didn’t like the fact that we were expected to clean up, empty the bins, clean the kitchen surfaces etc. upon leaving the property and if that checklist wasn’t complete then we would need to pay the charges listed. I have never stayed in a property that requested that before. It would have been helpful if I knew that I had to access the property by entering a garage with an electric door and then three other doors. I found that laborious particularly when moving heavy cases. It also meant that I couldn’t quickly open the door for food deliveries since the house doesn’t have a number. It is a small house in the back garden of the main property. It would have also been helpful to know that the free parking was actually street parking. Upon exiting the property at 3am, we were approached by a strange man as we got in our car and it was a very scary experience. I would have preferred to have parking on the driveway itself.
