Gardian Aigues Mortes cabin-style house rental

This is a perfect location to explore the magical Camargue nature and wildlife as well as delve into the historical significance of the region. It’s the sweet spot for historians who love birds and nature. Beaches are accessible in 20 to 30 minutes by car, bakery and supermarket in 10 minutes.Monique and Andre were perfect hosts and there to support when needed. Despite our lack of French language skills we had some lovely conversations so that when we left we felt like we were leaving friends rather than hosts.The house was spotless, still in more traditional design, but everything worked well and it was easy to get into the holiday feeling almost immediately.This is in a conservation area, so you are close to nature and the noises of frogs and insects at night. The house has mosquito netting on the doors and windows, it also has enough devices to fend off mosquitoes inside, but bring repellent for going out, especially to the conservation areas in the region.There is a fence around the property and there are boundaries between the living area and the natural grass and trees. These boundaries are not going to stop a dog who loves to explore.And finally there is the lovely and friendly donkey that loves to be stroked and eat carrots.In summary - would go here at the earliest opportunity again. No ifs or buts.

The little house is absolutely beautiful and the surrounding property is beautiful and completely quiet. Only sounds are from the birds and the two donkeys, who tell you that they wouldn't mind some carrots now and then:-) Monique and her husband are perfect hosts and make you feel very welcome. We would love to come back another time.
