Traditional with its thick stone walls, a very nice renovation. Warm in winter with its big chimney. Ideal in summer because the building keeps the expenses. The rooms are spacious and each have their own bathroom and toilet.
The terrace overlooks the main rooms on the ground floor.
A private heated pool with an electric roller shutter that ensures the safety of your children.
A garden offers a beautiful view of the park and the valley. A haven of peace.
On the ground floor :
Open kitchen with a granite worktop overlooking a dining room with a large table that seats 10 people.
The kitchen is fully equipped (induction hob, fridge freezer 3 drawers, oven extractor, Nespresso coffee machines, dishwasher, juicer, toaster, robot Magimix, pressure cooker, steamed, microwave ...)
Living room with fireplace, television, Wifi broadband Internet access.
A beautiful wheelchair-accessible room, double bed 160 cm or single beds to choose from, with large shower and toilet.
Upstairs are 3 spacious and air-conditioned bedrooms each equipped with TV (satellite channels) with DVD player, double beds 180 cm or single beds with 3 bathrooms and toilet

Very spacious, well presented and equipped . Located in an historic village which will benefit once the local hotel/restaurant re-opens.
Very good outdoor seating area, but not large in size, which could be an issue for large families.
One improvement would be increased English TV channels when taking a rest from exploring the superb area
In conclusion, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, as did our dog !

The Forge is a fantastic house, four large bedrooms with bathrooms, plenty of living space, lovely garden with a great pool. It is decorated to a very high standard and extremely well equipped. In all, a perfect destination for a gathering of families .

Four of us stayed at La Forge in June, 2014. The property is a first class, fantastic renovation of a classic Dordogne house. It features a comfortable living area with fireplace, a large kitchen and dining area on the first floor and four well-appointed bedrooms, each with its own luxurious en suite bathroom. The kitchen and dining area opens onto an outdoor patio next to a private pool.La Forge is located in the picturesque village of St Amand de Coly, a plus beaux village de France which features a 12th century fortified church. St Amand is ideally situated between Sarlat, the principal market town of the Perigord Noir, and Montignac, another quaint village on the Vézère River. All of the Dordogne attractions, including numerous chateaux, prehistoric caves, gardens, markets, restaurants and the river valley itself, are a short easy drive from La Forge. We would highly recommend La Forge as a Dordogne vacation destination.
