About this house rental

With its mill and heath all around, "Kervihan" - a small hamlet in Breton - is a very unspoiled, authentic and wild village. It consists of stone houses, old farms and fishermen's houses.
With its old windmill, Kervihan is a preserved, authentic and picturesque fishing village. Surrounded by moorland, it consists mainly of stone houses, old farmhouses and fishermen cottages.

Between the Côte Sauvage at 300m and the Baie de Quiberon at 700m, you will have the choice between pretty little rocky beaches like Port Pigeon or Port Bara and, on the bay side, Kerbourgnec beach near the sailing club for sheltered swimming .
Kervihan is an ideal base for exploring, walking and cycling (2 bikes are provided). The spectacular coastline of the "Cote Sauvage" is only 300m away and the beaches of "Baie de Quiberon" 700m. You can choose from pretty little beaches with rockpool and caves like Port Pigeon and Port Bara on the Côte Sauvage, and Kerbourgnec beach, a more sheltered beach near the Sailing Club on the bayside of the peninsula.

All trips can be made by bicycle (two are available). There are many walks on the peninsula on foot or by bicycle, in particular the "Green Way" which runs along the wild coast in the moor, accessible at the entrance of the village and which will take you to Quiberon.
There are lots of nice local walks and numerous paths for walkers and cyclers like "La Voie Verte" (Greenway), the coastal path along the Côte Sauvage that runs from the village to Quiberon across the moor.

If you are considering an excursion to the islands (Belle Ile, Houat or Hoedic), it will be with pleasure that I will drive you with my old Land Rover to the pier of Quiberon and that I will come to pick you up, because it is not possible to park near the port for the whole day.
If you want to visit the nearby islands (Belle Ile, Houat, Hoedic), I can drop you with my old Land Rover at the boat terminal and pick you up when you return as it is verry difficult to park in Quiberon.

We had a wonderful holiday in this lovely house on Quiberon! Outside the tourist crowds between the 2 very different and fantastic coasts. The fact that bicycles come with the house is a big plus :-) Highly recommended!

We enjoyed our stay very much and look forward to coming back. The house is located in a quiet and scenic area shortly outside of St. Pierre. All areas of Quiberon are easy to reach. The tipps and recommendations of the friendly owners just added to a very relaxing holiday. Merci beacoup et à la prochaine.

We spent a week exploring the area from this quaint and quirky cottage, very well equipped and spotlessly clean. Superbly peaceful with lovely views, located in a small hamlet, yet minutes drive to central Quiberon or the other pretty nearby towns. The owners greeted us and were on hand to offer advice regarding beach locations, restaurants etc. We used the two bicycles and followed the green route to visit Quiberon and St. Pierre very easily. The location is excellent for visiting the whole of the ‘island’ and whilst we had intended visiting Belle Isle, in the end we ran out of time, so fully intend returning as there is so much more to see and several beautiful beaches nearby. Francois kindly gave my husband a tour in the 1962 Land Rover which was one of the highlights of his holiday! We would not hesitate to recommend this cottage and hope to return when time allows. Thank you Sylvie and Francois for a memorable holiday and for being excellent hosts.
