We really enjoyed our stay in Basel and our apatment accommodation was a great contributor to that.

The location was really convenient, the host was very welcoming and offered us excellent advice on getting around Basel and what sights to see. The apartment itself was clean, modern and well appointed. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend staying here.

Lack of air conditioning, although we did have fans available which helped a great deal. Unfortunately Europe was under a heatwave during our visit. But the problem was dealt with by the fans.

Comfortable, very clean, well appointed, and conveniently located apartment with very helpful host.

Our host, Loredana, met us at the apartment as arranged beforehand via booking.com messaging--precisely on time. She gave us a tour of the apartment and explained how everything worked. She took time to show us on a map using colored markers how to get to and use the local tram service. Very helpful! She texted later that evening to make sure all was to our satisfaction and that the heat level was to our liking. She arranged taxi's for us as needed. The trams in the neighborhood can get you all around Basel. The free Basel visitor cards covered all our use of public transit. Her apartment is furnished very comfortably and is decorated well. We had everything we needed in the apartment, including the kitchen, for our stay. This is an "All 10s" rental. Our new home in Basel when visiting there from from where we live elsewhere in Switzerland.

Loredana waited for us at the apartment and helped us to carry the bags up and down. She is kind and friendly, provided us with a map and the buses to take to the various attractions. The apartment is extremely clean and spacious with all the facilities required for cooking.

A perfect home away from home

Getting to the apartment from the train station was easy, and free! with Loredana's instructions. The apartment itself was so clean that I felt like I was the first person to ever stay there. Beds were comfortable, kitchen facilities were fantastic, shower was wonderful, neighborhood was quiet. The outdoor temperatures were quite high at times (I was there for six days), but the fan made it comfortable indoors and air conditioning wasn't necessary. Hearing that I had come to see the museums and learn about the history of Basel, Loredana provided a detailed itinerary and suggestions of what to see. The museums were just a 10 -15 minute walk away, so it was convenient to return home in the middle of the day for lunch. As a woman traveling alone, I'm always concerned about security issues, but I felt perfectly safe, both in the apartment and walking in the neighborhood.

Loredana was very welcoming and showed us everything we needed to know about the area. The apartment was simple and very clean. The basics (coffee/tea) were made available.

Loredona asked about the temperature of the room when we got there, make sure if it's too warm to check with her first so you can adjust it to your liking. It is a constant temperature for us northerners can be too warm in the night.

Exceptional

Wonderful and spacious apartment, very well equipped, literally all you can hope for, very clean, good Wifi! Everything in walking distance (10 min from central train station, 5 min to Old Town, 2 min to tram stop or supermarket). From Basel it's only one hour to Bern or Zürich by train (5 connections per hour!). Additionally Loredana gave us some interesting recommendations - the small Rhine ferry was fun! - we enjoyed our time very much!

Elegant Basel apartment in a fantastic location

This is one of the loveliest places we've ever stayed in Europe. Our host Loredona was delightful and welcoming. Our apartment had a fully equipped kitchen, elegantly furnished living room, two balconies and a comfy bed. The rooms were large and filled with light. It was a lovely neighborhood and Basel Old Town was only a short walk away. This was our second time staying here, and every aspect of it was wonderful. Highly recommended!

This is an exceptional apartment in an optimal location for a family to stay close to the Old City.

The apartment was incredibly clean. Location was excellent - just off the Old City center but very close to a tram stop and to a Migros grocery location. We could be at the Rhine in about 15 minutes by walking. The neighborhood was a combination of residential properties and professional services (several physician offices in area). It was very safe and we all felt comfortable walking extensively even after dark. Loredana was an excellent hostess and went beyond our expectations. The kitchen was well supplied with dishes and utensils. Nespresso with coffee pods was provided. We mostly traveled using public transportation and regional trains. The main train station was 2 stops on the tram which was less than 1 block from the apartment. There were a couple of small restaurants close by including an excellent Thai restaurant just down the street. Loredana is able to arrange for nearby parking for a very reasonable fee if an automobile is necessary. I cannot say how pleased we were with the entire experience. This is an exceptional property for a family in a fantastic city.

The beds were reasonably comfortable but mattress was slightly firm for my taste. However, this is mainly a personal preference. Since the weather was quite hot and the apartment was without A/C (like most Swiss apartments), it was rather warm. However, the apartment was cool at night with the windows open. One night the neighbors were loud until late but we had to keep the windows open to keep the temperature reasonable.

Terrific place to stay!

We were very pleased with every aspect of our stay. The hostess, Loredana, was at the property when we arrived to let us into the parking garage and to give us the keys to the property. She also gave us wonderful (and very helpful!) information about the city, its sights, and how to get around with the bus/tram system. Basel is definitely a place for walking, biking or using the mass transit. Without Loredana's help we never could have seen what we did. We were able to stay parked and move through the city quite easily. The apartment itself was terrific. It was very clean, quiet, and spacious. I especially loved the spacious kitchen, refrigerator/freezer and eating area, as well as the large bedroom, living room and bathroom. I was able to prepare all of our meals in the fully equipped kitchen with no problem. For us the location was terrific. We mostly walked into the old town and down to the river, but there were also a number of buses/trams that we could take to the various sites. If the chance arises in the future, we would love to return here for another visit. We had an overall terrific stay. Thank you Loredana!

A beautiful flat, an interesting town and a very pleasant welcome.

Very warm welcome and many useful advises upon arrival for the flat and for the stay in town. Very quiet surrounding, near to the old town with easy to find public transport (including the train station). A really nice place to stay in Basel !!
