Great apartment in Basel
Great apartment, well equipped, spotless & fantastic location easily accessible to the airport & train station. Beds are extremely comfortable. Super handy to have the portable wifi dongle as we forgot our phones wouldn't work. Would highly recommend.

Comfortable and well-equipped, but bad window insulation and hidden rules
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The apartment has an excellent location and is very big, with enough space for our group of 6 adults and 3 children. We found it very cozy because the heating was always on and working well. A big plus was the equipment and food provided: unlike most rentals, the apartment had many cleaning products, toiletries, and food essentials (pasta, tea, coffee, sauces, etc.). This helped us a lot with our logistics.
There are three main issues to improve: - Insulation: The windows are single-glazed and don't have good thermal or acoustic insulation. Cold air and street noise come inside easily. The "insulating blankets" they provide are not practical and don't work very well. It was okay during our stay in late November/early December, but it would probably be not so uncomfortable in freezing temperatures. - Hidden rules and fees: We found rules in the kitchen area saying we would pay a 50 CHF fine for things not written in the Booking listing (like where to put dirty laundry or strict cleaning rules). Guests should be respectful, of course, but asking for extra money not in the contract is not transparent. - Bathroom: There is only one WC. It is new, clean, quite spacious and well-equipped (including shower gel, shampoo, etc.). However, having only one bathroom is difficult for a house that takes up to 10 guests.

Good location
Location was exceptional. We stayed on a Sunday night so restaurants below were not busy or noisy. Staff were very quick to respond to any queries.
Dark, very heavy curtains all around the walls to keep out the noise from the street. We only stayed one night so no value in pulling them off the windows. Curtains aren’t shown in the photos.

Clean and convenient in a scenic loud neighbourhood
Location and cost
Noise level ( bass sound from nearby bar) on Friday was hard to ignore, even with my silicone earplugs; think noise cancelling headphones and double glazed windows are the solution.

An apartment for those who like to be out late at the weekend
Very easy to reach from airport. Quick and easy bus to centre then short walk. Very central and very clean.
Although we expected city noise from the reviews, we didn’t expect to be right next to a night club which played loud music until 5am. This was on a Friday and Saturday night. The host made every effort to minimise noise pollution and it was much quieter on the Sunday night but pretty intolerable noise prior to that

The shower…. This needs improving!!! Even how hard you try to avoid water splashes on the floor while taking the shower… the shower curtain did not do its job and still flooding the floor

Large clean apartment with good proximity to the city center.
Property was clean and located in a great location from the main train station and old town. Beds were comfortable and kitchen was nice.
