This first floor self-catering apartment is located in the idyllic village of Letterfrack, in the heart of Connemara National Park, close to Kylemore Abbey and Killary Fjord. 3 bedrooms spacious apartment, sleeps 4. A short stroll from local vibrant bars, restaurants and shops and just a short drive to the wonderful white sandy beaches of the Renvyle Peninsula. This property serves as a great base for families and friends to explore the Connemara Region. In keeping with this magnificent location, local activities include; fishing, hill walking, pony trekking, golf, boating, island trips, kayaking, adventure centres and much more - providing you with an ideal opportunity to enjoy all this region has to offer. Clifden town is a short drive away which also offers many shops, bars, cafes and services. Galway City and Westport are both within an hour's drive of Letterfrack village.

The bedrooms all have wooden floors and furniture. The family bathroom includes bath with overhead shower. Electric heating throughout property. Ample parking on site. We spend three nights in three bedroomed apartment, family of four. We couldn’t fault location, view, amenities, parking, WiFi and facilities in the area. Definitely would recommend these apartments. Restaurants and bars on the doorstep. We ate in two of the three restaurants, fantastic food. Kids loved pizza from takeaway downstairs and we aLeo ate in an amazing pizza restaurant walking distance . We got breakfast from the supermarket, great deli there, shop has everything, we got great coffees from a lovely cafe, gift shop .we had drinks in three pubs they had music on two nights we stayed . We climbed Diamond Hill, visited local beaches, kylemore abbey, Ariel view in killary adventure, visited clifden roundstone , overall fantastic apartments location easy for touring Connemara

We had an excellent stay again in Letterfrack. The accommodation is basic (student apartments) but it is perfectly adequate and is much more affordable than self-catering accommodation in nearby Clifden. Letterfrack makes a really good base for exploring the local area and if you plan to walk in the mountains, is more convenient than Clifden. I'd recommend asking not to be placed in one of the apartments that overlook the road - there can be a lot of noise from the pubs and the pizza takeaway directly below. I had earplugs this time and slept well.
Parking is easy and free.
The staff were helpful and response was timely.

The apartment is conveniently located in the village of Letterfrack which has several pubs/restaurants/cafés (and there's live music many nights) as well as a pretty well stocked shop. The road outside was busy during the day, but quiet at night. Beautiful view out the window of Diamond Hill.
The manager, Louisa, was very friendly and helpful.
Contains the basic necessities you need to cook meals (though providing things like pepper, olive oil and washing powder would be a nice touch, as these are things you are highly unlikely to use more than a fraction of during your stay).
The apartment is a little dated, and some cupboards are scuffed or seem to have stains, and there's only very bright lamps, no mood lighting or reading/night lights, but despite these minor issues I would stay again if going to the area.
If staying more than a couple of days I would recommend having a car, as the roads are narrow and have no pavements so I did not feel comfortable walking along them (you can get by bus to places like Kylemore Abbey and Clifden, but not for instance Killary fjord).
