Welcome tray was a nice touch although I brought my own favourite tea and my friend only drinks coffee and we don't use sugar or LL milk. I don't like Prosecco, so she had that, but we did agree on the Ginger biccies - lovely! Loved the spotless bath and shower and toilets. Loved the comfy beds and the luxurious duvets (I was nor so keen on the pillows - too squashy and gave me neck ache in spite of my orthopaedic pillow underneath).

As above, the bed, bathing and toilet facilities were perfectly clean but serious deficiencies in hygiene elsewhere. EVERYTHING in the kitchen was covered in a thin film of grease. The fridge needed wiping out. We put everything possible that we were going to use, and did use, through the dishwasher at 65 deg. We used the Henry vac cleaner the first day as my friend broke a mug (her own!) and found the carpet head to be so solid with fluff, muck and hair that it was useless! Before we left, we vacuumed the main floor areas using the small 'staircase brush' - obviously no-one had done this properly for a very long time! The amount of animal hair that came up was mind boggling and accounted for the fact that my friend was suffering a mild allergic reaction to something and thought that she could smell 'dog'. (She also found a 'musty' smell in the cupboard of the double bedroom.)

Location spot on easy reach of shops and Town

Booking.com sent the wrong access code after a 5 hr drive trying to get in whilst raining was a bit annoying. Luckily Sykes emergency line came to the rescue with the right code after 2 phone calls.
