Unfortunately I cannot comment on the Mary Dann apartment, as there was a mix up with our booking, and Vrbo only sent half of my details to the owner. We did stay in Dukes Retreat, which was lovely. The property was in the perfect location in the centre of town and just up the road from the Prawn on the Lawn (highly recommended). The property was clean and perfect for a couples getaway. There were some small things that would have improved our stay, such as updating the information book with the correct WiFi code and up to date information, and perhaps changing the magazines so they were at least in 2025 (however this is minor). Otherwise we enjoyed our stay, and would stay again.

A very well maintained and serviced property, and convenient to the old town.
Had some communication problems with Paula. Got no response from a number of calls and texts. Parking was a problem, although we notified her, finished up having to pay ourselves. Again, no communication or arrangement from Paula. No reimbursement.

Okay, firstly we were expecting details of how to get into the property etc 3 days before but this did not happen. My efforts to contact the host initially did not happen - in particular with regard to parking. Parking location not clear. On the day of arrival informed that we had an upgrade for some reason and we therefore had a slight location change. The upgrade, in our opinion was not an upgrade although it was a slightly bigger apartment. Certainly not luxurious as described and I think (will check) it was cheaper for next week than we originally paid for the Mary Dann apartment. Inadequate things like mugs/cups/glasses especially if there had been 4 of us or we had guests. Also, described a washer dryer but no instructions with the washing machine and couldn’t find a drying cycle that worked. Good location for the town but not quite as good as the apartment we’d originally booked which was round the corner. Incidentally Mary Dann appeared to be empty until the Saturday when we think it became occupied. So was it double booked and did we take the fall for that?
