This cottage, created in 2014, near the landing beaches and the sea offers an unobstructed view of the marsh, with a wooden terrace facing south / southwest over an enclosed garden. Located 100m from the beach, 1km from the seaside resort Quinéville where you can find all the essential shops, as well as restaurants, a cookie and the museum of found freedom.

Particularity of this coast: the only one in France where the sun rises over the sea and in the evening there are very beautiful moonrises.

TOURISM: In addition to the historic sites of the coast, you will enjoy discovering its many small ports such as Barfleur and Saint Vaast la Hougue whose Vauban tower is classified as a UNESCO heritage site. You will appreciate the pretty port city of Cherbourg and can visit the city of the sea and the submarine the Redoutable.

This cottage, created in 2014, near the landing beaches and the sea offers an unobstructed view of the marsh, with a wooden terrace facing south / southwest over an enclosed garden. Excellent location, very clean and spacious modern open plan property. Bathrooms were excellent in size and facilities. Kitchen/dining/lounge open plan with plenty of space for a family of 5 and a dog. Garden was enclosed and safe. Bedrooms were large. Only issue for us (due to disability) was the bed having no support - we slept on the floor, but as stated due to disability rather than an issue with the property. Owner has a very thorough welcome pack with directions to local amenities. Beach is huge when tide is out, located close to WW2 batteries and a local museum

We stayed at the end of July as a family of 4 and my mum. The house was perfect for us. The main living space is adequately equipped and the property was clean and well maintained. The local bakers and butchers were excellent. The location was brilliant and was 5 minutes walk to the beach. Great stay. Thank you.

Sehr gepflegtes, neues Ferienhaus. Schick und schlicht möbliert, tolle Bäder. Funktionell und pflegeleicht, dabei wohnlich und gemütlich. Alles sehr sauber, Geschirr direkt aus dem Schrank benutzbar (habe ich schon öfters anders erlebt). Schöne Terrasse und recht großer, eingezäunter Garten, sodass sich auch ein Hund wohlfühlt. Nah zum Strand, einige Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Umgebung, aber Auto auf jeden Fall erforderlich, auch zum Einkaufen. Vermieterin sehr freundlich und entgegenkommend, alles wie angeboten, haben nichts zu bemängeln.

L'emplacement est très calme avec une rue peu passante et une très belle vue sur l'intérieur des terres. La maison est très bien équipée très moderne et les couchages nombreux et confortables. la maison est mitoyenne avec une autre maison identique proposée en gite mais tout est bien organisé et nous n'avons pas été géné par la mitoyenneté. La mer est a 3mn a pied avec une eau très propre et une grande plage. Il y a de nombreux musées a visiter autour - la région est très belle. nous avons passé un trés beau séjour.

Wir verbrachten einen sehr schönen 14 tägigen Urlaub im Ferienhaus von Frau Chatin. Frau Chatin hat uns sehr freundlich empfangen. Am Tag der Abreise war Sie, trotz dem frühen Termin, super pünktlich vor Ort. Das einzige, was es zu bemängeln gab, war die Hellhörigkeit des Hauses (Windgeräusche), sowie das Fehlen von Liegestühlen.

Excellent séjour à St-Marcouf

Excellent séjour à St-Marcouf

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans la maison de Mme Chatin située à Saint-Marcouf. La maison est conforme à l'annonce et est très fonctionnelle. La vue sur le marais et le bocage est très apaisante (et les nuits étoilées); la plage est à moins de 2/3 minutes à pied. De là, nous avons pu explorer le Cotentin en moins d'une heure de route. Mme Chatin nous a accueilli elle-même (et s'est montrée d'une grand flexibilité pour l'horaire d'arrivée). Elle nous a mis à disposition un livret d'accueil et nous a recommandé quelques endroits à visiter. Seul bémol: quelques petites réparations sont à effectuer (2 ustensiles de cuisine fêlés et une serrure intérieure à réparer), mais rien de gênant pour le séjour. Nous recommandons.

Petite maison récente, située à 5mn à pied de la mer. Tout est en très bon état, exception faite de l’électroménager qui mériterait un coup de jeune (ce qui vaut une étoile en moins). La literie est confortable, les douches spacieuses. Manque juste un peu de vaisselle, ce qui nous oblige à faire 2 vaisselles par jour. Il faudrait aussi un ou deux bains de soleil pour profiter du grand jardin clos, qui est calme et ensoleillé. Rien de très grave en soi, notre séjour de 3 semaines fut très agréable. Je recommande.

Location irréprochable, lumineuse et au calme. Observation des étoiles la nuit dans le jardin (aucune luminosité). Proche de la plage (5min à pied), aucune possibilité de stationnement donc vous êtes seul sur la plage. En cas de mauvais temps, possibilité de voir plusieurs musées (Utah beach, Quineville, Batteries de Crisbecq et Azeville, St Mère l'Eglise). Par beau temps faire la traversée de St Vaast à l'île de Tatihou. Supermarchés à St Mère ou Quettehou (18min environ). Excellente biscuiterie à Quineville.

La maison est conforme à l'annonce. De 2014, elle semble neuve. Fonctionnelle, propre, bien isolée (location début novembre). Calme, jardin sans vis à vis. Literie confortable, chambres de bonne taille, 2 salles d'eau et 2 WC dont 1 indépendant. Télévision peut-être un peu petite. A 300m de la plage à pieds. Commerces à 2 km 300, boulangerie, boucherie et supérette.

Nous avons bien apprécié notre séjour ; le gite était tout à fait conforme à nos attentes et était tel que la description est faite sur le site. Seul petit défaut ce sont les deux fauteuils du salon qu il serait bon de changer ; mais cela ne nous a pas dérangé outre mesure. Semaine très reposante. La propriétaire, très aimable, n'hésite pas à nous renseigner sur les environs. Merci à vous.
