Character cottage at the gates of Périgord Vert class 4etoiles

Beautifully clean property in wonderful garden filled with magnificent trees. Comfortable beds with duvet and extra pillows; three spacious bath or shower rooms (mind your head on the low beams upstairs between bed and bath) and there is plenty of storage/hanging space for clothes Extra blankets thoughtfully provided for colder nights and a cooling fan for the warmer ones. The pool and outside dining area/BBQ are wonderful with a feeling of space and enhanced with colourful planting including herbs and roses along one side of the swimming pool. Annie and Pierre are lovely hosts, provided a generous welcome pack and we’re on hand if we needed anything. An enjoyable stay - many thanks Annie and Pierre. A bientôt.

My husband and I and our 3 young children enjoyed 10 fantastic days holiday at Annie and Pierre's Gite in late August. They made us feel so welcome and accommodated everything they could, without being intrusive. The house is beautiful, extremely well renovated and well appointed with lots of style and home comforts. It is in a peaceful location without being too remote from the local area, as Riberac and Aubeterre-Sur-Dronne are very accessible, as is the river at St Aulaye and the freshwater lake at La Jemaye. The pool and garden were wonderful for our children and we used the barbeque virtually every night. In short I cannot recommend this property enough and we intend to stay again next year to see Annie and Pierre again as they were such kind and hospitable people.

We loved our stay in this house. It is located in a rural area, but with easy access to Riberac, which has got all amenities and a lovely market on Friday morning. Pierre and Annie were very welcoming and gave us a lot of local information, but at the same time respected our privacy. We enjoyed the river, where we went on canoe trip, we visited Bordeaux, and caves with pre-historic paintings. The pool was the cherry on the cake. We would love to visit again.
