We’ve had a wonderful week here. The pool is fantastic especially as temperatures were in the high 30s, thankfully inside the house remains cool. The garden is huge and beautiful with secure fencing allowing our dog to safely explore. Marie is welcoming and friendly, the perfect host. The house is lovely and very well equipped. The location is remote and peaceful but an easy drive to the next village for groceries and 2 bakeries.

We have just returned from the most idyllic holiday at Maison de Rose. The setting is peaceful and beautiful with a wonderful array of wildlife on the doorstep. The house is well equipped and cool, it’s useful to have laundry facilities and shopping nearby for groceries. We particularly enjoyed the pool and with the temperatures around thirty degrees we needed it to cool off! Our hosts pretty much left us to ourselves only popping in once to check everything was satisfactory- which it was. We were reluctant to leave this lovely spot and return to the frenzy that is work and home life but felt refreshed and rested after only ten days. Travel by train from York was simple and added to the sense of relaxation but a car there is essential.
