About this house rental
HILTON HEAD ISLAND. This 4-bedroom Hilton Head home features sweeping ocean views. Eighteen steps lead to the entry where you will find a spacious living room with two story windows and amazing ocean views. This room offers a sectional sofa, decorative fireplace, and TV. Off of the living room is the dining area with seating for up to eight. The bright kitchen is large enough for the family to be together, with some of the best ocean views in the house sitting at the breakfast table! This area also features ocean views and a door leading to the outside deck area.
The first bedroom is located on the first floor and has a king bed, TV, slider to the deck with ocean views, and a private bathroom with a tub/shower combination. The second bedroom, also downstairs, offers two queen beds, TV, slider to the deck area with ocean views, and a private bathroom with tub/shower combination. In the hall you will also find a half bath. Fourteen steps to the second floor is where you will find the remaining bedrooms. The third bedroom has a king bed, TV, and a private bathroom with a tub/shower combination, while the fourth, the master, has a king bed, slider to a private deck overlooking the pool and ocean, TV, decorative fireplace, and a private bathroom with double sink, garden tub, and a separate stand-up shower. Upstairs you will also find a bonus room, which is perfect for the kids in the family. This room offers a set of bunk beds (the bottom bed is a full and the top bunk is a twin), has amazing ocean views, a love seat and a full size sleeper sofa, a bumper pool / card table with 4 chairs, tall ceilings, TV. *This room does not have a privacy door.
Outside you will enjoy a large pool overlooking the Atlantic. The pool area has a gas grill, extensive decking, and plenty of room for lounging in the sun. This incredible Palmetto Dunes home is just steps away from the ocean and only 2 minutes from Palmetto Dunes golf courses.

We love Hilton Head, and the location of this house was good. Overall the house was nice. The concerns we reported were that (1) it was indicated there was a hot tub, and there was not; and (2) the refrigerator door's shelves were missing which impacted our ability to stock the refrigerator. There also seemed to be a lack of necessities in the kitchen - not a lot of silverware, utensils such as wine opener, etc. The light switches didn't seem to operate anything, and many bulbs were burned out. Some were changed after we arrived but not all. Plus the house listed a wet bar, and then we finally found it - in the master bedroom, which wasn't very useful. The house smelled very musty. On the plus side, the pool was great!

View & location are amazing - truly the best location we’ve had in Palmetto Dunes but the house needs updating. Kitchen is lacking in the basics you would expect to find in a vacation rental; dishwasher needs to be replaced, hot water was never hot. The cleanliness wasn’t up to par - particularly during Covid-19. Low water pressure all around, toilets took forever to flush & backed up constantly. Master bath steam shower drainage was poor & there was hair plugging it up on our arrival. Washing machine needs to be replaced or repaired. The television blocking one of the sliding doors in the living room is less than ideal, the furniture is more dated than most high-end rentals. Linens were sparse & need to be updated. Wifi is awful. Property manager was responsive when faulty smoke detectors brought the fire department out. Location & view amazing but it was clear that this is a rental & not a home the owners spend much time in which we’ve found makes all the difference in private rentals.

Our stay at 11 High Rigger was exceptional. The home was fabulous, the location was the best it could be, and the close proximity to excellent restaurants couldn't have been better. hope to be back soon!
