Sahara Happy Camp-Luxury Desert Camp

I liked: - The ride through the desert when Omar (owner) picked us up (included in the price, also the ride back to my own car during check out is included in the price) - The views of the desert - The buggy ride through the desert that you can book through Omar. An employee will accompany you on a quad. He is very nice and helpful. - The new facilities at the camp, everything has been renewed, from the AC to the bathroom. The tent is very luxurious and comfortable. The bed is one of the best beds I had during my trip around Morocco - Helpful staff Omar and his brother are helpful and offer various other things like buggy riding in the desert or a 4x4 excursion to the nomads. He also helped me with an extension cord for a device that I needed to be on all night. There is a normal power socket in the room and near the beds there are usb A connections. If you need any devices running all night just ask Omar. If you're looking for a reliable stay, I think this is one of the best options. It exceeded my expectations.

I booked 2 nights. The first night there were 3 or 4 more tents booked so the airconditioning was left on all night. The second night I was unfortunately the only one that booked and they had to shut down the generator after bed time. It got a bit hot in the tent later in the night but it was doable. The normal electricity for lights and small devices stays on all night.

Omar and his whole crew are the definition of maroccan kindness, joy and hapiness and pride for their country which they share with you from the moment you arrive making the trip to Merzouga the highlight of our stay. Bonfires and singing at night, incredible excursions through the region with the jeep at day, dune Surfing, riding dromedars there is nothing you can not do here. Food is excellent, secure parking.
