The house more than lived up to our expectations and made a wonderful base for our week's holiday. We were having a family reunion with parents, children and grandchildren travelling from America, Norway and England, five adults and three children under five. We were delighted to find the house was amazingly spacious and the layout meant we never felt on top of each other. We loved the bright open feeling inside and the garden provided a lovely play space and a relaxing outdoor eating area - lots of nice barbecues! The house was well-equipped and maintained with everything needed by a large group. The only thing that might be worth considering if you have small children is bringing a stair gate with you if you are travelling by car. The stairs are a little precarious for toddlers although we managed with close supervision! The area around the house is delightful and so peaceful. A ten minute walk down a quiet lane and track takes you to a stunning beach at Pen Guen and there are several others accessible along the coast path or a short car drive away. We visited the beach every day and virtually had it all to ourselves. St Cast is a lovely little town with a variety of small shops and another beautiful beach. A bigger supermarket is at Matignon, a ten minute drive away. We enjoyed a visit to Dinard and the aquarium at St Malo was a great success with everyone. The owners were very helpful and welcoming and we enjoyed every moment of our holiday and have returned home with many happy memories. We would love to return again one day!

This is a lovely spacious house with two delightful living spaces. The house is large with great kitchen with all mod con's. The film projector screen was good fun and a huge selection of DVDs. It was a good house for the mixed party that we traveled with as everyone felt like there was space for all.

Nous avons particulièrement apprécié la proximité de la plage de Pen Guen et du GR 34, le calme, la luminosité, ainsi que le très agréable jardin et ses palmiers. A noter aussi un sas permettant de laisser ses affaires de nautisme et de plage, ainsi qu'un vaste salon TV à l'étage isolé de la pièce de vie au RDC

Nous avons passé de très bonnes vacances en famille dans une maison qui donne l’impression d’être neuve. Le jardin (et les champs de maïs et de blé tout proches) ont ravi les enfants. La maison est bien équipée et nous avons particulièrement apprécié la grande bibliothèque garnie d’une large sélection de romans, BDs, livres d’enfant, etc. La plage de Pen Guen et le golf à proximité (10 min à pied) offrent un cadre idyllique.

Maison très agréable et particulièrement lumineuse. L'équipement de la maison est parfait pour une grande famille en mode vacances ( livres, dvd, jeux de société, nécessaire de cuisine pour patisser...). La literie est très confortable. La maison est idéalement située dans un environnement calme ce qui permet de profiter pleinement du grand jardin ainsi que de la terrasse et dispose d'un accès tout proche de la mer à pied, pas besoin de voiture. En résumé une location de qualité que nous recommandons. Nous pensons cependant que cette maison est plus confortable en terme de couchage pour une famille de 7 personnes car l'un des couchages est situé dans la pièce TV.

Fantastic house

Fantastic house

Great spacious house, with modern furnishings and well equipped kitchen. The photos give a really accurate impression of the house. We visited with 5 adults and 2 children aged 6 and 8 and it was perfect for our needs. Nice quiet setting. The town of Saint Cast is about 5 minutes away in a car where there are several restaurants, a small supermarket and other shops. The beach "Plage de Pen Guen" is a 10 minute walk away, half along a country lane and the rest of a footpath. The beach was huge and sandy, with rocks for exploring as well. I was very impressed with the beach and at the start of June we had almost the whole place to ourselves. There were also nice coastal walks. Dinan and Dinard were pleasant day or half day trips. The kids loved the high ropes activity park just outside Matignon, which is about 10 to 15 minutes drive and where there are larger supermarkets. The cinema room has a large selection of DVDs several of which can be selected to be in English and a huge selection of French novels, if you can read them. The owners speak very good English and were very helpful. They know the area well and gave us several helpful recommendations of what to do. Our family had not rented a holiday home in France before so the following are some notes of things we learnt as a bit different from the system in the UK. In addition to the rental, you need to give a damage deposit to the owners when you arrive at the house. We received this back from the owners without any problem when we handed the keys back on the last day. Also we had to pay a small additional amount for towels and bedding to be provided which fortunately I had asked about when booking. However given the amount of space it saved us in packing for one week it seemed worth it. The contract also has a requirement for a third party insurance to be taken out by the renters, which seems to be the norm in the French system. It cost about £30 when we found a French site on line. The only very minor point we found was if you plan to use food from cans you might want to pack your own can opener, as the one in the house was rather tricky to use without risking cutting yourself, but this is a very minor point. Except for this the kitchen was supplied with almost everything you could think of an more. We all enjoyed this holiday and house very much and would highly recommend it. It is an easy car drive from St. Malo port or Dinard airport.

Beau gîte contemporain dans un endroit calme et reposant. Ce gîte correspond parfaitement au descriptif photos et élément non négligeable, les appareils électroniques ménagers sont de très bonne qualité ce qui n'est pas toujours le cas...on se sent chez soi 😊 la maison est baignée de lumière, on a presque l'impression de vivre dehors au plus près de cette belle Bretagne. Les propriétaires sont très sympathiques et tiennent à la disposition des vacanciers une documentation très fouillée. Petit détail sympathique les oiseaux fréquentent beaucoup la pelouse et ne sont guère farouches y compris lorsque nous sommes sur la terrasse 😊 je recommande ce gîte ressourçant et convivial et nous y reviendrons
