Excellent communication from the start. Upon arrival, the property looked better than we expected. Lots of space and whilst it was quite basic, it was clean and tidy. External door on the annex is broken, so couldn’t be used which wasn’t a major issue for us but could be for some groups. There were also some broken tiles around the pool which were quite dangerous, so need looking at asap. Kitchen was well stocked with equipment for our needs and we enjoyed sharing meals together on the large tables. Enjoyed the bbq and boules set too.Thank you so much for a great holiday. Would recommend !

Big family or big group

Great for a big family or group holiday. Property is simple but has every requirement except shops close by,15 minute walk to nearest. It is a busy tourist area and beach a bit further than it looks. That said easy to spend all day at the house. If you want to explore, not much in the area. It’s a stay and play or relax type home. Quite expensive for a single family but great if many contributors.

To start with the most important: We really enjoyed our stay. The two key contributors to this have been the beautiful region (which offers a lot more than the coasts in Belgium or the Netherlands where we used to stay before) and the heated outdoor pool which not only the kids enjoyed every day. The villa unfortunately was not able to meet the high expectations we had from the nice pictures and very positive reviews. We did not expect a brand new house (which you will hardly find in this region) but were assuming it had been reasonably renovated. In reality only half of it is while the other half brings you back straight to the 70s. Especially the toilets, the annex and the very few wardrobes were disappointing. They do not only look old but also smelled musty when we arrived. We immediately bought air refreshers to bring it to an acceptable level. Since unfortunately it is not possible to upload pictures, I will give a few more examples of the current status: The roof and windows on the first floor have been modernized, while the windows on the ground floor and most of the doors are still old. The street facing and the pool facing fronts which are shown on the pictures have been refurbished, while the two gable walls were not. The North facing one is not visible from the garden, but the other one is and the flaking paint with the remainder of a broken satellite dish can only be described as ugly. Our overall impression is that this villa has been lacking maintenance and refurbishment for many years and that just 4 or 5 years ago the owners started to invest in it. It will most likely take another 3 years until it is completely modernized (at least when we left we were told that it is planned to do so). Most of the other points like the walking distance to the beach or the nice and fully equipped and modern kitchen have already been mentioned in other reviews, so I will just confirm this without going into details. The final thing I can confirm is the very friendly and helpful owner Fabienne. She is the reason while I still give it an overall rating of 4 stars. 3 could easily be justified as well (especially when you visit it between October and April when you can't use the pool). I can hardly understand how so many others rated this at 5 stars. A lot of additional investment will be required until it realistically deserves such a high rating.

Had a great stay here, nice Villa and really lots of space we had 12 adults and it never felt cramped. The swimming pool is a great plus and we made use of it.the Owners are fantastic very helpful and accommodating, we had an issue with a vehicle which they helped with no fuss. So thank you Fabienne

A comfortable, well equipped villa in a great loaction.

The villa was comfortable and well equipped. The weather was glorious during our stay, so we made the most of the garden and the swimming pool. The swimming pool and table tennis were well used by all, especially the children. Sainte Ceceile was a good base for exploring further afield, very close to the CWGC military cemetery at Etape and the beaches at Le Touquet. Sainte Cecile itself provided everything we needed in terms of a good beach, shops/markets, bike hire and decent restaurants, all within easy walking distance of the the villa. We were a party of 13 plus a baby celebrating both a 50th birthday and a 25th wedding anniversary. The villa was large enough to accommodate us all and Sainte Cecile provided something for everyone. Sainte Cecile is conveniently located for the Eurotunnel, approximately 50 minutes away on the A16. The villa owner, Fabienne, was very helpful and answered any queries we had before an during our stay. We all had such a good time that we hope to return next summer.

Could not fault the property which easily accommodated 6 male golfers. Plenty of space, showers and facilities to ensure we had a comfortable stay. Local restaurants within walking distance are La Terrasse and Le Petit Mousse provided good evening meals.

Please note our visit was 18th July 2015, but the site wouldn't let me change it. Yet again a brilliant holiday. The house accommodated a family of 13 ranging from all ages. Again the kids loved the pool and with the beach only five minutes away with ice creams on sale, this was also a hit with the children, and the adults. Fabienne was great with a welcoming reception when we arrived. An added bonus to the holiday was the wine prices had stayed the same. Cheers Colin

We were two families of 4: 4 adults 2 toddlers, 2 babies under 1. this property was perfect for us, and would have been for a much larger group indeed. We spent our mornings out exploring the beach (just a 5 minute walk over the dunes) and local towns and markets, swiftly followed by lunch and most afternoons splashing around in the brilliant heated pool. The barbecue was great too. The owner, Fabienne, responded immediately to any questions or concerns we had. All in all a fantastic holiday and top notch property. it's every bit as good as it looks! This holiday house is the perfect place for a family holiday. The pool was amazing and the children had hours of fun in it. The town was situated perfectly. There was a good choice of bars and restaurants, the beech was only a five minute walk from the house with its beautiful sands and shallow waters, ideal for the children. The supermarket was a five minute drive away which suited all needs. The house was the perfect size and accommodated 13 of us with ease. A fantastic holiday and we are looking to return next year. La maison est très agréable, la météo nous a permis de profiter de la piscine et la grande terrasse permet de prendre les repas en plein air. Les enfants ont pu profiter de la piscine et de la plage à proximité ainsi que du terrain de pétanque. Le voisinage est très sympathique. La literie et les équipements sont très bien Je recommande vivement ce lieu pour des week-ends ou vacance avec ado ou enfant en bas âge entre amis ou en famille je pense que nous y retournerons sans hésitation. Nous avons passé 3 jours (ascension 2021) en famille à 9 adultes et un bébé de 6 mois. La maison est conforme à la description, spacieuse et très lumineuse même par temps couvert. La cuisine est suffisamment spacieuse pour cuisiner ensemble et elle est aussi bien équipée. La piscine est d'une taille confortable et chauffée par une pompe à chaleur (donc la température de l'eau dépendra de la température extérieure). La maison est bien équipée pour y séjourner en famille même avec un enfant en bas age, il manquerait éventuellement une table à langer et une petite sécurisation de la chaise haute (manque une sangle d'entre-jambe pour éviter la chute de l'enfant). Tout c'est bien pensé. La communication avec les propriétaire est facile et les réponses sont rapides. Petit bémol, le "logement annexe" mériterait une petite rénovation (revêtement de sol de l'étage, remplacement de la literie, rénovation des sanitaires, poignée de porte fenêtre donnant sur le jardin) mais il à le mérite d'exister et permet d'augmenter la capacité d'accueil du logement. Je recommande ce bien et nous essayerons d'y revenir. Merci.

Très bon séjour, seul petit bémol, la piscine était trop froide (17°). Nous n'avons pas pu en profiter. Quelques coups de tournis à faire (Babyfoot, pas d'éclairage extérieur). Merci à la propriétaire pour sa flexibilité concernant l'heures d'arrivée et de départ ! Globalement, c'est un bon choix.
