Check-in was quick and easy with Madame Labouret, along with her brother being available, and the house was very neat and tidy. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need. I cannot recommend this house more highly! It was a pure slice of paradise.

We were impressed from the moment we arrived. Such a beautiful location, and a stunning property. It felt very authentic and homely, we could have definitely stayed longer. The hosts Myriam and Alan made us feel very welcome and we loved meeting them both.

Very nice house away from the busy cities, yet easy to reach from the main routes. Some 45 mins to the chateaux of Chéverny and Chambord, 5 mins to a bakery, 20 mins to big supermarkets. Quiet and lots of privacy. Own private garden. Good beds and well decorated rooms, well equiped kitchen. We all loved the house and the friendly old dog.

we greatly enjoyed our stay at this cottage. the owner is very friendly and helpful. the house is very picturesque, kitchen is well equipped. located in the countryside. lots of privacy. as we had great weather we spent quite some time in the backyard. i would totally recommend this holiday house!

Pleasant stay in this converted cottage. Well equipped with a comfortable bed and good shower in main bedroom en suite. Separate toilet off the hall. Property is 400m down a track off the main D724, which has little traffic, hence the quiet. Good restaurants in surrounding villages. Pleasant, flat cycling in local area but beware the horse flies, which seem to like warm weather and damp from the many local étangs (lakes). Plenty of wildlife interest; look out for 'le ragondin' (coypu) The English speaking, French owners live on site. They are friendly and helpful without ever being intrusive. There were only three upholstered seats in the lounge and two dining chairs, which was OK for two of us. We didn't get access to the second bedroom, as the door was locked; so was the property's front door! John and Lynda

A stunning location, quiet yet 5 mins drive to local village, 15 minutes to larger pleasant town of Romorantin-Lanthenay. Beautifully presented gite and extremely helpful owners, who live on site and are available to advise on trips etc. The gite is separate and the owners do not intrude at all unless you need help with something. If we visit this area of Loire again, this is where would choose to stay.

This has to be one of the best locations and holiday we have ever had in France. We have stayed for 2 weeks in this beautiful restored farmhouse in the Loire. Set in the woods, with a small stream, and immediately on arrival you feel the peace and tranquillity. This house is both very tasteful furnished, with lots of character, and decorated to a very high standard. All the rooms have their own charm, and at the same time are extremely functional. The kitchen has everything you need, and comes with all the electrical accessories you could wish for. Outside you are surrounded by woods, and you can relax in the lounge chairs, or just sit around the table and enjoy a glass of wine. After dinner outside in the evening, you can then return inside and feel warmth of the log fire, and what a great way to end your day. This part of the Loire is full of history and there are many wonderful chateau’s to visit, and many beautiful little villages to visit and enjoy. We visited many and have lots on our list for our return visit. Our hosts were exceptional, and we cannot speak highly enough of them. They were on hand to answer any questions, but at the same time gave us our own privacy. Nothing was too much to ask. It goes without saying that we intend to return next year to this wonderful destination, and really would like to keep this all to ourselves.

We had a very nice stay in this beautiful house. Fully equipped with all you need: good beds, good shower, kitchen, TV, wifi, garden chairs etc. A lot of room in and outside the house, a terras and garden you can sit in. Extremely quit surroundings, but within 15 minutes drive from shops in several villages. Within short time driving distance of cities like Tours, Orleans, Bourges, Blois and all Loire et Cher sight seeing places. The owners are very nice people and take care of all you need. This is a real good place to stay if you want to visit Sologne and the Loire-Cher valley couple from the Netherlands

We stayed 3 nights in this this charming restored farmhouse which is located on an estate in the Loire Valley countryside. It is completely updated with all modern convenience and beautifully decorated with antiques so it retains all of its old country French charm. The kitchen has everything you could possible need and more. There is a master bedroom with a king bed and a bathroom attached and another bedroom with 2 twin beds with a full bathroom as well. The property was very clean and everything was in excellent working order. There is a large backyard with a table, sun umbrella, chairs and lounge chairs so you can enjoy the natural beauty all around you. The owners, who are absolutely lovely people, live right next door, and were there to welcome us and make sure everything was in order for our stay. They were exceptionally gracious and helpful during our stay from making dinner reservations for us for our anniversary to helping us plan the next part of our trip. The pictures accurately reflect the property but don't do it justice - especially the toile fabric wall covering in the bedrooms! We loved the peace and quiet of the location, but at the same time it was only a 5 min.drive to the nearby village for groceries. We visited the chateaus of Cheverny, Chambord, Blois, Chenonceau, during our stay. They were all within about an hours drive. We would definitely recommend this property to your family and friends and hope that we can visit again some day.

We had a very nice stay in this beautiful house. We stayed 3 nights in this this charming restored farmhouse which is located on an estate in the Loire Valley countryside.
