About this villa rental

In the village of Gordes, one of the most beautiful in France, 300 m from the village center, yet in a peaceful environment, this stone house will seduce you by its location, its spacious living areas and its high quality of amenities.

Built in a U-shape around the swimming pool, it offers numerous relaxation areas, and has a lovely landscaped garden. The interior design is contemporary and bright, with large living areas. The house (300m2) is on one level and each room has access to the swimming pool. There are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms for your comfort.

The house is equipped with induction hob, oven, fridge, freezer, dish washer, Nespresso coffee maker, washing machine, tumble dryer, TV, DVD player, sound system, land line telephone, alarm, piano, barbecue and air-condition. Baby equipment (cot and high chair) is available upon request.

There is outdoor dining and seating area on the cover terrace next to the heated swimming pool, 6 sun beds and the children play area (swings) in the garden.

Service includes swimming pool and garden maintenance, weekly cleaning and change of bed sheets and towels. More house cleaning is available upon request.

The house is 5 min walk from the center of Gordes, where you can find numerous restaurants, gift shops, art galleries, bakeries, pharmacy, post office and small grocery stores.

Gordes is located 30 km from Avignon (A7 motorway, High Speed Railway Station (TGV), national airport) and 85 km from Marseilles (Provence International Airport).

The closest tennis court is 5km away, and the distance to the closest 18-hole golf course, Saumane, is 14km.

I cannot say enough positive things about the house. Helena made the check-in/out process incredibly easy and she also gave us a number of great recommendations (groceries, restaurants, things do see, etc). The house itself is gorgeous and very well appointed. It’s a short 3 minute walk to the town center, which was very nice as the town itself can get crowded and parking can be difficult. We would ( and most likely will) stay here again in a heartbeat.

This was the 3rd time we have stayed at Helena’s villa. The villa is well presented and the response from the owner to questions is prompt. We like the layout and spaciousness of the property. The walk into Gordes takes about 5 minutes ,a little more to come back as it is all uphill. I do not believe the pool is heated so invigorating at this time of year(May). Location is great to visit the various hilltop villages in the surrounding countryside.

We stayed two weeks and loved every minute in Gordes and in this lovely home. The location was perfect, a short 10-minute walk to the main square (Castle), but he home was also very private and secluded. The home was clean and the kitchen well equipped for cooking at home. We spent many hours in the south-facing outdoor pool area, which provided many hours of sun each day. The porch to the pool was covered and well shaded, and had a large dining table for eating outdoors. We would love to come back and stay again.

The owner and her property were both first class. The pictures of the property as beautiful as they were didn't do the house justice. Every aspect was well thought out and tastefully done. The location was as described...an easy walk to the Center of Gourdes. Couldn't be more pleased with the entire experience.

My family and I spent a week in Gordes at this amazing house (two daughters ages 8 and 6). The house was situated so close to town that we could easily walk into all the restaurants, bakeries and shops (thankfully it was uphill on the way back so we felt like we were working off all the delicious croissants we were enjoying). Helena was super responsive throughout the process-providing suggestions for our stay and responding to any questions. The house was the perfect mix of country charm and modern decor/conveniences. The large open kitchen included appliances that were all very new and worked perfectly. The beds were new, clean and adorned in beautiful linens. And the pool and terrace were a dream. We spent hours every afternoon and evening outdoors enjoying our time. Highly recommend and hope to go back.

We absolutely loved our stay in this gorgeous house. More beautiful than the pictures. The kids loved swimming and we loved sipping wine on the poolside terrace. We were able to arrange a wonderful chef to bring breakfast each morning, which was well worth the extra cost. Perfect!!

This was an excellent place for two couples to have their own space but be able to get together to eat and socialise in the spacious living / dining / kitchen area. Pool was not heated early May and therefore unusable for swimming but nice to sit around. Problem with water pressure in one en-suite bathroom was sorted quickly although feel that the bathroom could be better as the drains were noisy and there was no shelf in the shower for soaps etc. All in all a good experience. Smell of jasmine as you lay by the pool enjoying a glass of rose and the blue luberon sky. Plenty of wine glasses. Could have used a cozy throw for the evenings. We traveled from Saint Rémy where we spent a week-which was beautiful. Ending our stay in Provence at this wonderful home in Gordes was perfect. The home is bright and welcoming. The atmosphere is extremely relaxing. A perfect ending in Provence. We had been to Gordes in the past on day trips but we never had the experience of waking up there-so our stay was spectacular. Easy access to many beautiful places that our a 15-to 30 min drive. We will be back again. Your home is pretty much out of a dream. Thank you

This house was simply perfect for our one week stay in Provence. We were able to use it as a base for touring nearby Avignon, Pont du Gard, Nimes, and the numerous castles in Provence. When we returned after a day of touring, it was awesome having our newly purchased wine while seated beside the pool. Our stay was the end of September, so the pool was too cold for swimming, but we had beautiful warm days with cool nights. The owner, as well as the local manager (both are named Helena), were extremely helpful and responsive. The house is huge and we would rate it 5 stars. We used both a/c and a little bit of heat on a couple of mornings, and the system was perfect. The house is nicely equipped with all the modern appliances and worked well for preparing dinner when we chose to dine in. The access to downtown Gordes was perfect. Simply drive 300 meters to the huge local parking lot that is free after 7:00 pm. Downtown is walkable, but it's a bit of an uphill hike after dinner, so we chose to use the free parking lot. It was truly the perfect base for touring Provence!

We had a lovely stay at this property! The home is much more beautiful in person. It is clean, spacious and nicely decorated. The pool area is a dream with shaded areas to dine or relax. We enjoyed exploring the Luberon Valley in the morning, swimming in the pool in the afternoons and walking to town for dinner each night. This is a special home and location. Thank you for a wonderful and relaxing vacation.

We had a short but very relaxing stay at this very spacious home, just a few minutes walking from the center of Gordes - an amazing location. We contacted the property manager to see if the pool could be heated - we swam the first two days without heat, which was fine, but just a little too cold with the evening winds (our 11 year old daughter had no problem). We took full advantage of the pool on our last day, when the pool had been fully heated. It was marvelous! The house could benefit from more instructions on how to use certain appliances as well as the TV, but we managed on our own. Overall, we enjoyed the house very much.

Beautiful, spacious house a short walk (500 metres) to the center of Gordes, loveliest of the Luberon villages. We (my wife son and I) were there the third week of September, cool nights, warm afternoons, using it as a base to visit the surrounding area (Avignon, Arles, Aix, Nimes, Pont du Gard, Isle-sur-la Sorgue, Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, Vaison La Romaine, Abbaye de Senanque, Rousillon, St Remy de Provence). Was a perfect place and time of year for this purpose, summer crowds gone, quiet drives on back roads through olive groves and vineyards. Only downside is you will have missed the lavender in bloom. If you stay in Gordes, highly recommend lunch on the terrace at the Bastide de Gordes, also at La Borie Spa, a mile outside town on the road to the Abbaye de Senanque.

Gordes is a great choice for exploring the luberon and the rest of Provence. The villa is just a short walk from the village center, so close to restaurants, shops, and the Tuesday market! Two large bedrooms can serve as masters and there is an additional room with two twin beds for kids. The place is very spacious with a beautiful pool and lovely grounds with fruit trees, completely surrounded by a tall stone wall. Very private, quiet. Beautiful starry nights.

It is a beautiful place to stay. There is lots of space in the house and the pool allows for great family time. The property is walking distance to Gordes and all the other villages are closeby too. 2 elements that we did miss: no air conditioning anywhere - which we felt is a miss for a property at this price level, and the second bathroom is an ensuite with no privacy. A small wall would solve this.Overall, we had a relaxed holiday with the family.

We had four wonderful days at this lovely villa, I only wish it could've been longer. As others have mentioned, the house is very comfortable, quiet, and well appointed. Helena was very responsive to questions and made the wonderful recommendation of L'Artegal restaurant in the centre of town. I regret that I didn't book in advance the chef she recommended to cook one night at home- there's a covered terrace with a large table for al fresco dining. A slight word of caution: the stairs leading to the master are not built in and there's no handrail- someone who's elderly or a little unsteady might not be completely comfortable with it. There are however two other bedrooms that are accessible on the ground level. My only suggestion for improvement would be an investment in a good wine opener-- we had to wrestle with that thing every night! :-)

The house is very comfortable, a charming old stone house with a nice pool and perfect location - a short walk into the center of Gordes and the Bastide. Would highly reccomend the Luberon over any other area of inland Provence and Gordes was one of the most charming of the towns we visited. A great base for exploring the Luberon towns in the morning, sitting by the pool in afternoon and dinner in Gordes at night. Not 5-star luxury but very nice and a fraction of the price of a luxury villa along the coast. The house had more than enough space for one family. While pool is on smaller end, was great for our family.

Stayed for a week with the family. Accommodation was very well appointed with great facilities including beautiful pool, excellent kitchen and dining area ideal for socialising. Size of the plot is perfect to catch the sun all day by the pool and then to chase it up into the back of the garden with a BBQ in the evening. This villa is remarkably spacious, well appointed, and clean. The owner and local contact are responsive and helpful. While there are "only" three bedrooms, the house can easily host more to entertain and enjoy the pool area. The kitchen is fantastic and social being totally open to the living area. The outside areas with seating and places for kids to play are spacious and enjoyable as well. Walking to town is a quick 5 mins downhill and given how busy it can get there, being slightly away is more relaxing in my opinion. If I had to call out downsides, we did miss having a Luberon valley view like we've had in other houses. Secondly, the pool has a warming system which helps certainly outside of June-August heat, but for our stay in April was not enough for casually enjoying the water as its around 24 degrees C, even if the kids could still have fun. Nonetheless, this is a A-grade rental at a great value I would highly recommend to even the most discerning Provence guests!
