About this house rental

Immersed in nature and with beautiful views of the sea and Lake Massaciuccoli, this typical Tuscan country house with private pool and cozy outdoor area welcomes you. It is located about 1 kilometer from Massaciuccoli, an ancient Roman settlement where you can admire the remains of a Roman villa and thermal baths. At the lake it is also possible to rent canoes or walk on a wooden walkway that crosses part of the lake, observing different species of birds from special small huts. And when you are back from your day trip, relax in the garden with a good glass of wine! Access to the accommodation via 600m gravel road.

A hidden bolt hole

The property itself is perfect. We loved the space and the view was incredible. The drive to the property is for confident drivers and best not attempted at night. The whirlpool and pool are heated by the sun only so can be cool. The owner and their family are attentive and kind. As with all of Tuscany you need to be prepared for the driving but once you master this the holiday is worth it. I’m so grateful for all they did to make it a great holiday.

Wer sich den Traum vom "Haus in der Toskana" erfüllen will, ist hier richtig! Auf einem riesigen am Berghang gelegenen Grundstück ist man völlig für sich allein. Der atemberaubende Blick über die Küstenregion zwischen Viareggio und Livorno mit dem Lago Massaciucolli lässt sich vom Pool, vom Balkon, aus dem Garten und von den beiden Terrassen genießen. Das Haus ist im italienischen Landhausstil mit Liebe zu Architektur und Details gebaut und erst 10 Jahre alt. Mit vollständig ausgestatteter Küche, Bad mit Dusche, extra WC und Klimageräten in den Zimmern ist alles da, was man braucht. Garten, Terrassen, Pool und Whirl-Pool wurden täglich (unauffällig vor dem Aufstehen) geplegt. Die Betreuung durch die Besitzer war unaufdringlich und fürsorglich. Das Haus ist wegen der Abgeschiedenheit gut gesichert und mit Alarmanlage ausgestattet. Die lange Grundstückszufahrt ist für tiefergelegte Sportwagen eher ungeeignet, unterstreicht für alle anderen aber die unglaubliche Lage in der Landschaft. Wenn man auf einer der beiden Terrassen - eine davon mit Barbecue-Station - unter den Weinranken der Pergolen an den großen Tafeln sitzt, dann ist das italienische Lebensart in ihrer schönsten Form! Absence de climatisation pendant toute la durée du séjour dans la chambre principale, malgré nos demandes Une serrure très ancienne défectueuse de la porte d’entrée a justifié son changement alors que nous nous sommes retrouvés coincés à l’extérieur quelques temps. L’automatisation du portail d’entrée défectueuse nécessitant en plus de la barrière en entrée de propriété de l’ouvrir manuellement à chaque Entrée/Sortie. Enfin, un cambriolage, dont les conséquences ont été, sont douloureuses et préjudiciables, conséquentes financièrement. A propos du cambriolage, bien sûr, personne n’est responsable de cette situation. Il faut regretter l’absence de consignes précises et écrites de la propriétaire à l’arrivée du séjour.
