In our house is a two story, fully furnished, cozy terraced house with garden for private use.
The house is situated in a quiet residential street with no through traffic and was acquired in late 2013, renovated and furnished modern and cozy and is in the rent since early 2014
The location offers excellent connections to public transport and to the motorway. With the S-Bahn, the center of Cologne, the exhibition or the Lanxess Arena in 10-15 minutes is reached.
Also within 10 minutes (on foot) are small forests and lakes to reach.
In and around Cologne Settled large farms (Ford, Bayer, etc.) are easily accessible.

The house is fully equipped and offers u. A. Wi-Fi, a private car parking, cot, high chair.

This property was perfect for us - we wanteda bedroom each, a place to sit (undercover) outside, and an easy trip (10mins) into Cologne. The latter is made possible by the close location to Holweide train station. The place was clean and most functional. Our host was very kind and helpful. This was our second stay here! as it offers exactly what we want from a 3 night stay to see and enjoy Cologne.

We loved every moment at Gerd and Claudia’s rental property. From the beginning, Gerd had open communication and was available prior to our stay for any questions or resources he could provide about Koln. The space is adorable and spacious. Very clean and has all the amenities anyone would need to have a comfortable stay. We have five people in our family- each enjoyed their own bed. The backyard and patio space is lovely— we enjoyed our coffee on it each morning. The transportation in proximity to the rental was phenomenal and saved us parking money and Uber/Lyft expenses. The city felt safe and everyone was friendly. The driveway was large and we fit our huge van rental in it. At the end of the stay, we wished we’d booked more time. We would definitely stay here again and we hope to in the coming years when we visit again. Probably the best part about the host- Gerd himself met us at the house the first day and showed us around, answering any questions we had and showing us everything we needed to know about the property. Because the hosts are incredibly organized, we did not have to contact them during our stay. Thank you, Gerd and Claudia— we had an amazing time!

This was the perfect base for us to explore the Christmas markets in Cologne; it was a 15 minute ride to the cathedral from the Holweide train station, which was literally steps away. Gerd was a wonderful host, adding special touches for us (like beer and water in the fridge and chocolates on the beds), and providing good advice on neighborhood (groceries and restaurants) as well as the markets themselves and how best to navigate the brief rail strike the day of our arrival. The home was well appointed, cozy, and quiet, with nothing lacking. We would not hesitate to stay here again when our travels take us back to Cologne.

We spent a fabulous weekend in Gerhard and Claudia's beautiful house. Claudia made us feel very welcome and showed us around. It is a perfect location to explore Cologne. Right next to the train station. 15 minutes by train to the city centre. The house was spotless, cozy, quiet, really comfy beds which is very important!! We had a fabulous time and we hope to be back some day. Christmas markets were fabulous too!!

This was a perfect place for us to stay. It is 2 mins from the station and it is about 10-15mins into Koln from there. The property is very clean and there is a nice covered outside area to sit if desired. The owner is extremely helpful and wants to ensure the stay is as perfect as possible. We would stay here again.

Lovely house with everything we needed. Excellent location close to city centre with short commute on the train. Quiet friendly neighbourhood. Garden a great asset for chilling after a busy day sightseeing in the city. Gerd went above and beyond for us great host. Met us and explained everything we needed to know. Very nice welcome touches (beer and water). Will certainly return and can 100% recommend this property.

We absolutely loved our stay in Holweide. The host was wonderful and so helpful, even adding special touches for us and our kids! He was very communicative and always willing to help! The house is beautiful and perfectly suited our needs. It was amazing watching the sun set in the beautiful yard lined with flowers. Also a big perk was the proximity to the Holweide train station, which is literally steps away, but not loud or disruptive when you’re in the home. The home was perfectly maintained, making it difficult to leave. The only downside was the proximity to grocery stores in the town since we did not have a car, but it’s not a bad walk through beautiful Holweide or you can hop on the train and go to Kaufland, which is a stop away. Highly recommend this rental and this host! Thank you for a memorable stay!

The house had 3 good size bedrooms . The kitchen was well stocked with appliances and tea and coffee. Wi fi was excellent, fast and reliable. Easy parking at the front of the house.The garden gets the afternoon/evening sun so ideal to sit outside with a Kolsch. Very short walk to the station for trains to Koln. Also easy 1 hour drive to Eifel mountain area or to Ahrweiler . Ideal house for short breaks to Koln or the area surrounding. The hosts were very prompt and easy to deal with and spoke excellent English

We really enjoyed our first proper stay in Germany. The train was so close and Claudia's warm welcome and clear instructions (in English, thank you so much!)on things in the house and getting the train were wonderful. Gerd's communication before we arrived was again in English for us and enabled us to feel we would survive (my children speak a bit of German but my husband and i don't)! The house is spacious, clean, comfortable and generously stocked with essentials (down to Earl Gray teabags, dishwasher tablets and beer!!) We really appreciated not having to take half our kitchen with us or do an expensive shop on arrival. The fabulous electric shutters ensured a wonderful nights sleep....we hadn't had lie ins like that for years! Family train day ticket into Cologne was a few stops and under 14 Euros. Very grateful for Sat Nav and google maps/city map apps to help us find our way around Cologne and Bonn.

This house is superbly located for exploring cologne. The excellent public transport network is a short walk away with central cologne only 15 minutes away, meaning the car can be left on the private driveway. The house is furnished to a very high standard, very well equipped, and is spotless throughout. All three bedrooms are well appointed with plenty of storage and comfy beds. The garden is well maintained and there is a large gas barbecue available. The basement is well equipped with a new washing machine and tumble dryer. The owners are very friendly and keen to ensure that we had a very good time in cologne. They made us feel very welcome with touches like kölsch beer in the fridge and a fresh fruit bowl. We would not hesitate to stay here again. Perfect for English people exploring Germany for the first time!

Es waren freundliche Vermieter, die Wohnung war Sauber & alles hat Funktioniert.Im Kühlschrank lag gleich zur begüßung für jeden eine Flasche Wasser und ein Kölsch bereit (naja zwecks dem Kölsch könnte man ja fast schon einen Stern abziehen :-), aber Geschmäcker sind halt verschieden).Die Lage der Wohnung war Super! Bahn in noch nicht einmal 3 Minuten erreicht. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind in der Nähe (ca 10-15 Minuten zu fuß).Fazit: Immer wieder gerne von meiner Seite. aus
