About this cottage rental
This secluded Chilmark cottage, beautifully landscaped, sits on a high point off of Meeting House Road with a sweeping view of the Atlantic ocean. The house is light-filled and airy, with comfortable living spaces, a master bedroom with queen bed, a smaller room with one full bed & one single bed. Access to private dock on Chilmark Pond over which you boat in our kayaks/canoe to Hancock Beach. Cook's kitchen and outdoor shower make this a vacation dream.

We found the house very well maintained, comfortably furnished, and pleasantly situated. Everything in the listing was accurate, The house has an exceptional location, out of sight of any neighbors and with a fine view of the ocean. We spent many quiet afternoon and evening hours reading on the porch or in the living room, with only a summer breeze through the screens and the occasional sound of the surf. Ms. Hume provided a complete guide to the house and the Vineyard and was very pleasant to deal with.

On a dirt road nestled in woods but close to major roads for sightseeing, hiking and boating. Clean and comfortable cottage for two.

We three very seniors, found the simplest of pleasures in reading, beach-strolling, General Store in Chilmark and fishing eats in Menemsha, and all the comforts of a lovely well-equipped home- what a treasure! Thank you, thank you!
