A lovely country villa, Casa Natalina, is located in the stunning Garfagnana region of Northern Tuscany, a lush green valley between the Appenine and Apuane Mountains.

The property features a large 12 x 5 metre saltwater pool, complemented by a 3 x 3 metre shallow children's pool with wide steps for easy access. The pool area also includes a solar-heated shower, a sun patio with loungers, and beautifully landscaped garden surroundings offering breathtaking views.

This renovated house combines traditional Tuscan charm with modern comfort. With chestnut-beamed ceilings, tiled floors, and an atmospheric ambiance, it is ideal for a family or group of friends. It offers 3 bedrooms (a double and two twins), 2 spacious bathrooms, a lounge with an open fireplace, and a fully equipped kitchen with a dining area for eight. A patio door leads from the lounge onto a balcony, while the kitchen opens onto a fine outdoor dining patio, with panoramic views, shaded by a sun umbrella.

The back garden boasts a second sun patio with outdoor furniture, pizza oven, a hammock, and partial shade from fruit trees. Guests can also enjoy the owner's complementary Chianti wine, sourced from their vineyard. Upon arrival, the owners provide a welcome pack to help you settle in and start your stay off right.

Superb swimming pool, impressive view, beautiful garden. Large terraced house with all the necessary equipment (including dishwasher, freezer, washing machine). The presence of neighbors did not bother us too much. The bedding is average. The pool is a little too cold. The washing machine does not spin. When it rains heavily, water infiltrations appear (windows, doors and roof / ceiling) some of which (roof / ceiling) are very noisy and disturb sleep at night. The presence of mosquitoes and other biting insects bothered us but we understand that it is normal to have them in the countryside. The wifi worked well except for the first three days, but the cellular network works very well. We very much appreciated the welcome pack. Thank you !

This is such a wonderful property in a truly beautiful location. The photos of the property give a true depiction of the grounds, the outdoor sitting area is perfect for enjoying a meal looking over the stunning Mountain View . The pool area is perfect for relaxing after enjoying days out around the local and farther area. The local villages are beautiful. The welcome pack was well thought out, with milk, bread, butter, eggs, pasta ragu sauce, fruit and herbs. Along side the red wine, cold beers and water. The fresh cut flowers dotted around the property was a lovely touch. Susan, Andrew & Molly were fabulous hosts, checking everything was ok on arrival and only a message click away for any queries about the local area.Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your beautiful accomodation

We had a fantastic holiday here. The views are absolutely stunning and we spent a lot of time enjoying them by the pool. Any direction you drive, there are gorgeous little hillside villages and the owners recommendations for restaurants are brilliant - do not miss the multi course set Sunday lunch at Hotel Panoramica! Swimming at the waterfall and cooking in the wood fired pizza oven were also highlights. We are missing waking up to those views!

Spacious, private house in peaceful surroundings. We had a fabulous two weeks here with lots of room for all to spread out. The pool is the shining star! Easy distances to lovely towns to wander and so, so many outdoor activites to keep the adrenaline junkies happy. Highly recommended canyoning with Apians adventures and a visit to Canyon park Lucca for the most amazing SUP and zip line experiences. Fabulous last evening meal at Il Pozzo after we had stuffed ourselves on homemade wood-fired pizzas during our stay!

We had a great week in Casa Natalina in Villa Collemandina. There were four of us including our two teenage boys who were thrilled that the wifi was reliable and fast. The house itself is the end of a small terrace of three properties but we didn't hear a thing through the walls or from the other neighbours. It's an old villa with stone floors and staircases inside (no creaky floorboards!) and the kitchen had everything you need to cook a decent meal. The welcome basket was excellent and there was enough gorgeous wine in the flagon to pickle anyone's liver! We were slightly unlucky with the weather as the hot spell broke the day after we arrived and we had a couple of days of thundery rain (torrential on the first day of it) but it warmed up a bit by the Wednesday, although cooler than it was in the UK and a lot windier. The views over the mountains are amazing and the pool is huge and quite warm. It was also nice that it was salt water rather than chlorinated. It's about a half hour walk to the local shop, which is more of an Arkwright's Open All Hours type of thing, but there are bigger supermarkets in Castelnuovo di Garfagnana, which is only about 15 minutes' drive away. We had good takeaway pizza from the little trattoria in Villa Collemandina as they do pizzas on Saturday and Sunday nights. You can also get takeaway pizza from the trattoria in Corfino, which is the second of the two villages you come to if you go over the bridge you can see from the villa (but we didn't try it as we'd already had pizza twice by then!). Corfino also had good local bread, honey and cheeses. We tended to avoid eating out much because of Covid19 but there were lots of restaurants in Castelnuovo di Garfagnana had we wanted them. I'd definitely recommend a stay in Casa Natalina. Friends of Tuscany were great with all the communication too.

Just as described, a perfect tranquil spot with the most incredible views. The property was very well equipped and had everything me and my grown up family needed for a relaxing holiday. This included lots of lovely details such as flowers around the house, a generous welcome basket and enough local wine to sink a battle ship. Even though the weather was mixed there was still plenty to do and lots to see in the local area including walking, sightseeing and restaurants. We managed a couple of days by the pool and had one perfect evening making home made pizza and cooking it in the outdoor wood fired oven. Finally a word on the hosts, responsive, communicative and extremely helpful - not only responded the following day to a minor repair needed, but helped with us finding a wine tasting experience. What more could anyone need. Highly recommended!

This is our 10th stay at this wonderfully restored traditional Italian house with a splendid pool and views that stay etched in your memory. The villa has everything you need for a perfect holiday - clean, well stocked, wonderful wine and comfortable beds. A sun terrace on one side is the perfect place to enjoying breakfast and is just a few steps from the fabulous pool. The views from the front of the house are just breathtaking with the stunning mountains and hilltop towns and villages. A holiday here allows a mixture of relaxation in comfort and style with the opportunity to tour the area. Lots of great walking and eating places locally as well as markets and local shopping!

The beautiful Tuscan house is exactly as described in the listings, well equipped with everything you could possible need. The owners clearly care about their guests and go above and beyond to ensure a good time is had by all. Restaurants, walks, galleries and shops are all plentiful and unique , a treat for the eyes and taste buds. For me a highlight is simply chilling in the beautiful looking out at the mountains and feeling very lucky to be there.I have happily recommended this wonderful place to my friends and family with the caveat they don't book when I want to stay.

We stayed at Casa Natelina for a week and our only regret is we didn't stay longer!! The house was superbly equipped with everything we needed and we had a lovely welcome pack on arrival. We arrived late in the evening and didn't have our bearings as yet so this was so very welcome! The house was clean and well maintained throughout. Our favourite thing to do was bbq on the outside deck overlooking the mountains. The outdoor spaces were great and the views simply spectacular! You'd be hard pushed to find a more stunning outlook from the (very large!) swimming pool in all directions. When it got a little too hot there was a wonderful gazebo to relax under and read. Heavenly!! We'll be back!

Case Natalina what a find! My wife and I and our two kids absolutely loved it here, the house is authentic tuscan and very welcoming. On arrival we had a lovely welcome pack with bread, pasta sauce and wine, so that was a great start to our stay. Outside is where we spent a lot of our time, the pool is magnificent with wonderful panoramic views of the mountain and surrounding countryside and the patio was very spacious with a huge table so thats where we enjoyed a of of our time too. The info pack was full of very useful and clear information about the local area, regarding places to visit and the fabulous restaurants all within a short drive. Barga and Lucca were great places to visit. We stayed 2 weeks and highly recommend Casa Natalina and looking forward to coming back. Kevin & Ruth - Brighton

We just had a week at Casa Natalia - my wife, me and our two teenage boys. It's a really nice old house, in a little collection of houses, really well furnished with a lot of charm, in an absolutely stunning location. There are incredible mountain views all round and the excellent new pool helped us enjoy the heatwave! Andrew was very helpful, the local area is beautiful, the local food is great, this really has been one of the best places we have visited anywhere in the world - it's peaceful, incredibly beautiful and very well maintained and set up. First class!

The panorama from the house is stunning. The pool is lovely and we wished we were staying longer. We thought there was a pizzeria within walking distance but there isn't so you need the car to go out to eat. Lots of hillside villages and pleasant walks and not too far from places like Florence or Lucca for a day trip.

Case Natalina was a lovely house, a little quirky in its layout and we all kept going to the downstairs bathroom instead of the stairs which became a family joke. The new pool is a triumph, Remo and Massimo keep it looked after and were very thoughtful in not hammering fencing when the baby was asleep. The situation is so beautiful that we hardly went out, just essential shopping and a trip to Corrine across the valley where we had a fabulous view of the house. It was a little disappointing that we couldn't walk to a restaurant but that in no way diminished our enjoyment of a truly great holiday. We did go to Luca on our way home which is a super place. One tip though, leave the car outside the walls! All in all a great holiday and we hope to return.

Casa Natalina is outstanding .. a sympatheticaly restored property with everything you need. Both patio seating areas are delightful but the highlight for us is the stunning view looking from the front of the house over the pool to the mountains.

Susan and Andy 'Friends of Tuscany' are the perfect hosts of their charming house in the most perfect location. Their experience as travelers as well as hosts means that everything has been thought of leaving you free to relax, explore and enjoy this most beautiful area. I have been visiting the Garfagnana for several years and each year the area unveils a new treasure while I also delight in the familiar. Best bit, picking fresh figs for breakfast after a morning dip in the pool, worst bit, leaving.

We booked this villa for a week in June. The owners kindly left is a welcome package including wine, pasta, bread and milk :-) wonderful surprise especially as we arrived late with two hungry little ones. It's beautifully finished, rustic but high quality. The grounds are spacious and perfect for kids to run around and explore. The pool is big and clean and a lovely temperature. the location is unbeatable and the views are to die for. Andy from friends of Tuscany helped us out so much. I have no hesitation in recommending him or his company and the properties they represent. We also rented another property from them, both unbeatable. Excellent.

Perfekte Lage für Naturliebhaber - die Terasse mit großem Sitzrondell lädt zum tollen Panoramablick ein. Grill u. Pizzaofen sorgen für die kulinarischen Highlights. Eine weitere positive Erwähnung gilt dem großzügigen Pool, der keine Wünsche offen lässt. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet , so dass der Selbstverpflegung nichts in Wege steht. Thema Betten, ...Empfindungssache ;0) Wir haben sehr gut geschlafen, was nicht zuletzt auch an der Atmosphäre des alten Landhauses lag. Fazit: Sehr empfehlenswert mit einem Wehrmutszropfen. Der Parkplatz liegt ca. 40-50m vom Hauseingang entfernt dieser ist nur mühselig mit dem normalen PKW erreichbar. (Be+entladen)Fzg. Mit Allrad u. erhöhter Bodenfreiheit haben hier Vorteile... Urlaub gelungen,wir fahren erholt nach Hause!

Sehr sehr ruhig Lage! Ein wunderschöner Blick von der Sitzgruppe und vom Pool. Wow! Lange, sehr kurvenreiche Fahrt bis zur Wohnung. Das Haus ist direkt mit einem anderem Objekt zusammengebaut. Wir hatten trotzdem unsere Ruhe. Die Sitzgruppe, Liegestühle, Bäder und Küchengeräte sind schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. (Ist aber alles aus den Bildern ersichtlich!) Wir haben die Abgeschiedenheit genossen und uns sehr gut erholt.

Our two families had a wonderful time at Casa Natalina. The house is an attached home with a few other homes on the property, but the large property was laid out so that we had plenty of privacy. The house and pool are very clean and the kitchen well outfitted. We spent a lot of time using the wonderful outdoor spaces that included several places to eat and relax, or simply swing in the hammock (which my son loved.) The pizza oven was a huge hit! We had a lot of fun trying new combinations using local ingredients to come up with the perfect pizza pie. Tip... the pre-made dough at the markets that comes in bags is excellent and a huge timesaver. The views from the pool were extraordinary and we spent many hours either lounging by the pool or swimming. There is an attached splash pool which was popular with the youngest. Our kind hosts, Susan and Andrew, were incredibly responsive to any questions and requests that we had. They also provided a comprehensive list of activities and welcomed us with a very thoughtful basket filled with wine and food. After a very long drive, we were also grateful that we had previously arranged to have a delicious meal provided by Fay and Peter which made for a very relaxing evening. The area is perfect if you are interested in hiking and mountain biking and enjoying nature or visiting the nearby villages and Lucca. We enjoyed our trip immensely and hope to return.

We had such a wonderful stay in Collemandina in the house that Susan, Molly and Andrew makes every effort to ensure that you have a fabulous stay in. And that's exactly what we had! We have stayed in Tuscany on multiple occasions enjoying many beautiful houses but this one top the list honestly! Well functional kitchen, fantastic bedrooms and likewise bathrooms and not the least a patio and pool area with literally unbelievable view! Needless to say that the house was spotless clean on arrival and to our surprise our hosts made us feel even more welcome with a beautiful welcome package with foot, wine and beers - everything that made sure that you have a good first night in the house. And did I mentioned - the wine is from their own winery - and it is great! Lastly we want to mention that our vacation was planned to take place in the summer of ´20 but was postponed for obvious reasons. But Molly and Susan have been so cooperative accommodating new dates for us and we are grateful for this. In conclusion: A fantastic venue with fantastic hosts. Couldn't recommend this more warmly!

We were a group of five friends (30+) and stayed for 11 days in the beautiful Casa Natalina. What I guess is important to mention: There were two more vacation homes in another part of the building but they have their own pools and the garden is not observably so you have lots of privacy when relaxing in there. There are quite some small restaurants in the area with very delicious food for a low price but you definitely need a car to go there and you shouldn't be afraid of very narrow winding streets. The house itself was beautiful. It had its own nostalgic charme as it was very old (I guess it might be much more than 100 years) but accurately renovated with all amenities of the present time and lovely decorated. And the location was just gorgeous!!!! The big beautiful garden had a huge well serviced pool with a stunning, breathtaking view into the valley and towards the mountains and small villages opposite. It was much nicer than shown on the pictures!!!!! We had a really great time in Villa Natalina and can highly recommend it to everyone;)

In un’anno molto travagliato dal punto di vista mondiale, abbiamo deciso di trascorrere una vacanza in famiglia all’insegna della sicurezza, che abbiamo trovato in questa splendida abitazione, la pulizia impeccabile, la disponibilità dei nostri amici scozzesi, hanno ripagato le nostre aspettative appieno, per non parlare dell’ottimo vino che ci hanno offerto, La piscina è senza dubbio il punto di forza della casa, sopratutto per una famiglia con 5 figli come la nostra, Torneremo sicuramente a passare del tempo in Garfagnana, una terra meravigliosa e unica.

Casa Natalina is in many ways a lovely and charming house with a stunning view and some people might become impressed by this, but it lacks the finesse and maintenance to be called a villa. The overall maintenance is of a very low standard and the texts on Friends of Tuscany's websites are definitely overly positive compared to what they offer. There is no extractor hood, no mountain bikes 'due to Covid' (but we live in Italy and all repair shops were open during the 6 weeks before our arrival), parts of walls and paintings were very moldy, a lot of small things not maintained (rickety toilet seat, door of the dishwasher and coat rack came loose), the grass was not mowed when we came and when they mowed it, they missed a lot of parts, downstairs the bathroom remains wet for a very long time. Landlord rules are ignored: people walk in and out without prior appointment. The house is NOT a detached house as advertised: the terraces on both sides of the house are not free from the neighbors' view and some days when we went to bed we could hear the neighbours loud and clear, which made it difficult to sleep. There was no updated information about the arrival time and departure time. Our contract was cancelled unilaterally after one day due to 'no updated information on the Homeaway website' and when we wanted to book again all conditions were changed. But also in the house we found outdated information about the carbage. However, more important, we were not taken seriously when we had a problem with the water heater. 5 people were 4,5 days without hot water.
