Great place, lovely welcoming family, and staff. Extremely accommodating. The restaurant, views, and food were amazing and super affordable! They helped us with renting a moped for 70K for the day and with transport to the port and tickets to Gili Air.

Shorten stay from 5 to 1 night

The rooms are quite cozy, little dark, bathroom nicely decorated with the stones on the ground, looking clean and with very nice shampoo smell. The aircon in the room works good and we had a cute terace. The restaurant itself is pleasant, they offer kombucha as well. Lovina Loca offers also trips and events although it is really overpriced. The pool looks great, with clean water (not tried) and outdoor environment is very nicely decorated with lots of plants.

The atmosphere was strange and overall not comfortable. Within a minute after our arrival we were already informed about the packages they offer and we had the same feeling as other tourists that they just try to sell additional services. The dolphin view for 30 USD/pax while you can easily find for 19 USD/pax. Also we were asked if we can pay immediately because they need to buy electricity?! We had a small poo (maybe gecko, not an issue) on the pillow and we saw a cockroach in the bathroom. In the morning we came for a breakfast at 9 am, waiting for 10 minutes but no one showed up so we went out to grab some food. When coming back at 10 the lady was back and already serving the food to other guests. If there is a breakfast service, we would expect to have someone ready for those few hours in the mornings. Already first day we had a feeling not to stay 5 nights because of an awkward atmosphere and booked other place to join our friends. We did not feel the usual Balinese calmness, peace and welcoming atmosphere. This was our sixth accomodation but unfortunately the poorest one. We booked few months ahead but since then the Booking rating went down. Maybe we were also influenced by other comments recently read but we wanted to give the accomodation a chance and make our own conclusion. We would recommend to the family to read the Booking reviews and act appropriately or hire someone with professional attitude in hospitality services. It is unusual to see many same negative comments with no improvement.

Nice decor in the hostel and it was cool having single beds for the dorm instead of bunks. Close walking distance to the shops and beach

No social atmosphere and there is no air conditioning in the dorms. The beds in the dorms had no curtains on some sides by the entry to the dorm and the toilets which was kind of weird and lacked privacy. There is a sign saying you need to pay for filtered water.

Beautifully designed, room cleaned every day! They have many food and drinks on offer including kombucha they have in a barrel, it’s delicious! Merry the owner is awesome she’s so lovely and very helpful, always around for a chat as well. The pool is cool and clean. We had a private double and it was amazing with a beautiful bathroom and a balcony. Really awesome place!!

Wifi didn’t work in the rooms just the bar and pool but wasn’t very fast there either, but not the end of the world. Pool could do with some more seats around it so more guests can chill there xx

Really nice rooms and the hole place was artfully designed. This place has a lot of good ideas in terms of decoration.

We didn't like the spirit of the people working there. They were really business oriented and tried to sell a lot of activities and expensive taxi rides. Another really big downside is the breakfast. The worst breakfast i had in hole Indonesia by far. So don't take the included breakfast it's not worth it.

I've seen the biggest cockroach of my life which kinda stressed me out the entire night, but I guess it's not so strange given my room had an outdoor bathroom and it's Bali. The room key was always stuck in the door and I had to ask for help every single time. Overall a bit overpriced in my opinion.

The staff was very helpful and friendly and helped to organize activities and a taxi to go to Ubud for us. Very central location.

Felt cheated of our holidays

Close to the beach, 900 meters away

The breakfast was not good at all. The omelette only had 1 egg (too small), the bread was not toasted, so it's only plain bread. The owner wanted to rent us the motorbike for 90.000 IDR per Day, when the shop next Door has them at 50.000 per Day. Total scam. The swimming pool is much smaller than it looks on the pictures. Shower attachment to clamp it to the wall was broken. Hot water was running ok. Do not go. There are much better places in Lovina, at smaller prices. Not cozy at all

Lovely characterful hostel

Staff were so friendly and helpful. The aesthetic and feel of the hostel were really unique and full of character. The breakfast that was included with the booking was basic but very nice and prepared with care👍 We were also referred to a great bar (in partnership with the hostel called Funky place) that had an awesome vibe and great live music

Lack of love & attention to detail

..Massive on the upsell. Husband constantly trying to sell me products. Even when trying to order a meal..Very annoying & bad hosting. Rooms lacking in many practical ways. Food was very average. Everything felt half hearted and ramshackle. No real help offered for anything. Even drying clothes when got caught in rain storm. Place could be great.. Lots of small things only, holding it back due to lack of love & attention to detail.

Cute Daughter

Friendly and sweet staff, she has daughter whose very cute and talkative. The facility is complete, they have pool, hot water, aircon, and they put stones on the floor of the bathroom which very feel like nature. Soap, shampoo, and hand soap are available too. I like it!

Very nice hostel.

Staff really polite, they welcome me to with fruit and ice tea, hostel very clean, nice little swimming pool with bubbles, ac worked well in my room and hot shower. Coffee /tea available during the day and drinking water. On the side of the swimming pool there is a space that I used to do some bodyweight exercises 👍🏽😁
