Location was good.

They did not service the room on the Friday and only had two rusks put out and two coffee pods. Also in room 11 the carpet should be thrown out! Very stained and grubby.

My room was like a one-bed apartment. Perfect for a couple. The bathroom and kitchen appliances very decent and of the highest quality. The bed was larger than mine at home and just as highly comfortable. The man that showed me around (Anton) was very pleasant and helpful.

The sprinkler system comes on around 10/11pm. There is a sprinklerhead right next to the main door I was advised to use to enter/exit the building. That sprinklerhead was spraying water straight across the door when I returned on my first night. So I got a bit wet. I didn't really mind though because it was a hot day.

Very kind, helpful management. It was very clean, simple, modern and thoughtfullu decorated. All ameninities available.

We were woken up both at night and in the early morning due to our upstairs neighbours walking on the crackly floor.

Great location and comfortable stay

the location is amazing, walking distance from great restaurants and popular streets. The room was clean, amazing shower and very comfortable bed. There was a swimming pool with loungers which is a great bonus for summer.

Not the guest houses fault but the doors are heritage and the light from the passage shines in a bit. Not a major problem but wasn't pitch black.

Location to town centre Large room with king size bed Kitchen area and area outside the room were great. Belinda checked us in and was very engaging and walked me through.

My fault but didn’t realise at time of booking that it was self catering accommodation, however that’s on me.

Fantastic stay at charming Heritage House

Absolutely beautiful period property, pretty much in the heart of Stellenbosch (which makes it a fabulous location). My fiancé and I were blown away by the area, and we fell in love with the charm of Heritage House. We stayed for x3 nights and had a spacious self-catered room on the ground floor with garden views (the morning light spilled through the curtains too which was stunning). The room was decorated beautifully, incorporating modern with period features, very much in keeping with the building. Amenities-wise, we had a parking space for our hire car, our own kitchenette to populate (and with table and chairs), shampoo, conditioner and body wash, wardrobe with hangers and draws, full-length mirror, hairdryer, TV, and the most delightfully soft robes to wear!

There wasn’t anything to dislike about the property! Our only criticism is that we arrived at the same time as about 10 other guests so we didn’t have a proper introduction to the property or to the staff (who seemed lovely). Understand that they were rushed off their feet! The bed was a tad hard, but perfect if you prefer something firmer. We had a friends wedding, and there wasn’t an iron, so just be aware of that if you need one! We took the suit to be pressed somewhere in the centre which was great and affordable.

Perfect stay in Stellenbosch

It's a beautiful old heritage building that they have modernised with hand picked furniture. The room was spacious and clean. We liked the easy check in and the security to get in and out of the building. Location is perfect to not be in the hustle but close enough to walk to the restaurants and shops.

Throughout the night we could hear the people above us when walking, but that is expected from an old building with wooden flooring.

location was perfect, 5 min walks from all the pubs amd restaurants, and 10 min walk from STIAS were my conference took place. The room was equiped perfectly, with everything I needed and more. It was amazinlgy clean and bed and sofa were oh so comfortbale.

Quaint accommodation within walking distance of the heart of Stellenbosch

Our host was very welcoming and gave great suggestions for restaurants and cafes. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated-a mix of antique and modern pieces of furniture. The bed was comfy and electric blanket a cosy treat! There were umbrellas and fluffy robes in the room for us to use if needed. Another lovely touch was the decanter of sherry, the rusks, coffee machine and bottled water in the room. Our stay was not affected by load shedding at all. Walking distance to shops, restaurants, cafes and the botanical gardens. We felt 100% safe in the area. Heritage House is in a quiet residential street. Free and secure parking on site

Very courteous reception and assistance in planning activities (thanks to Belinda and Anton!), Lovely furnishings and small kitchen with everything necessary. Very good walking distance to the center, botanical garden, short distance to the small river where you can walk along relaxed and also reach the center with many bars, restaurants and shopping.
