Camping de l'Ill

We have been to this campsite before with our own camper so we knew what to expect. It is small inside but the outside decking was a bonus. We sat in the sun and relaxed - this was our 2nd stop on the way to Calabria so as the car was parked next to the Igloo we were able to sort ourselves out and repack. Our dog loved it and it gave her a little freedom after being stuck in the car. We also stayed there on our way back a month later.

The light outside was on a sensor very annoying kept going off so you had to wave at it.

The cabin had a heater both in the bathroom and bedroom which meant we were very warm as it was a cold day/night. It was perfect for our needs as we were travelling with our dog and we could sit outside and watch the world go by. We have stayed at this camp before with our own campervan. Obviously this was a cabin so was small but ok because of the outside space. We wanted a restaurant that accepted dogs inside (it was too cold to sit outside) and Gaetan very kindly rang around and found a lovely Italian restaurant a few minutes drive away we could have walked there but again it was cold and dark. We took our own bedding and towels but were given mattress protectors which were disposal which I thought was a nice idea.

The outside light was on a sensor and kept going off - very annoying as you had to wave at it to make it stay on. Perhaps a few more kitchen knifes and forks. Although as end of season perhaps previous people had inadvertently taken a few away.!!
