Welcome to Flamingo House, a lovely tropical retreat on North Captiva Island, offering a unique Gulfside getaway. This 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom home accommodates up to 6 guests and is just 200 steps from the beach.
Enjoy the private heated pool, lanai deck, and golf cart access for exploring the island. The home features a king master suite with a Jacuzzi and walk-in shower, a queen bedroom, and a twin bedroom. The open-plan kitchen includes a bar for six and a dining room for eight, leading to a spacious living room with an entertainment center.
The observation deck provides breathtaking views of the Gulf, Pine Island Sound, and North Captiva Nature Preserve.
Guests have full access to North Captiva Island Club amenities, including pools, a hot tub, kayaks, bikes, and beach chairs. The island, accessible only by ferry, private boat, or plane, offers a secluded `Old Florida` experience with pristine beaches and a tranquil atmosphere.
The small-town charm provides a peaceful retreat, with dining options at Mangos Bar and Grill and Over the Waterfront. The nearest airports are in Fort Myers and Punta Gorda.

The interior looks better than in the pictures. The place was very clean and cozy. Of course, everything could use an upgrade. Unfortunately, the water is not drinkable and the remorse osmosis and filtered water from the fridge didn't work so we had to keep buying overprised small bottles. A handy man came to fix it the same day I reported it but no luck. From the description of the property is not clear whether golf carts are included. They are not. I received a vip code to reserve a golf cart for free only to be told at check-in that this was a mistake. Golf carts are as costly as a car. Booking through the club has the disadvantage that you have to do the checkin and checkout twice. Once at the ferry, and 2nd time on the island as opposed to a private host where we could park closer to the ferry and not wait 30 min for the valet.

The Flamingo House checked all our boxes. It's a short golf cart ride to the huge beach, with parking for the golf cart. Hop back in when you're done and you're quickly back at your own pool which was perfect. The inside of the house is nice and open with plenty of room. Everyone was helpful when we arrived and departed the island. Great house to stay in

Our stay at the Flamingo House was great. Pictures and description of house was exactly as it was. We loved the pool and driving around the island in our golf cart that we got at the North Captiva Island Resort office when we checked in. Very low-key island with beautiful beaches. We went kayaking and ate several times at the 3 restaurants on the island. I would definitely go back!

Nice house but the pictures and description are better than the actual experience. First of all, it is not 200 steps from the beach. Granted, it is close but the description offered makes you think the house is right off the beach when in reality, it is more like over 1000 steps or a 0.2 mile ride on a golf cart that was less than reliable (broke down while driving to the vacation club office). The air conditioning wasn’t working properly. My husband has to remove the air filter that looked like it hadn’t been changed in about a year, only then did the house start to cool off. Overall, for the price we paid, we were expecting a more worry free vacation than we actually got.
