Galice Lodge House on the scenic Rogue River

We took a high school baseball team here (15 players and 3 coaches). It had PLENTY of space for everyone, with ample bathrooms. The game room was a great plus. It was clean, well-stocked, and had everything we needed. Every bedroom door had its own lock, plus all exterior doors had locks, too. The check-in process was not ideal. We received communication that we would stop by the address on file, where there would be a map with our name on it. Upon arriving at the address (a store), the store was closed and despite having a sign for loding check-in, there was no lodging check-in. And since we weren't given the address for this house, we then had to kind of go on a scavenger hunt to find it. Fortunately, we did, and it all turned out okay. Communication from the owner definitely has a lot of room for improvement (we didn't receive any communication, despite sending multiple messages through VRBO and to the Galice Lodge's Facebook page, for about a month after we booked the lodge; we just wanted confirmation that they received our booking). Regardless, the experience at the house itself was FANTASTIC! The wifi worked perfectly, even with 15 teenage boys on their phones constantly. So, if you book, don't expect great communication or check-in processes (just look up on the ridge above the address they give you; you'll see the house up there), but you can rest assured knowing that the actual house is AWESOME!

We have a large family and it is hard to find a place big enough to accommodate us. This was absolutely perfect! The host had left plenty of everything for us to use. The house was clean and had even set up a Christmas tree. We all felt very welcome. You have a beautiful home.

Large house with plenty of room for our family of 14. Absolutely no issues. We would stay here again!!!

Overall adequate facility for large groups; ours experienced the following: The dishwasher was malfunctioning from day one. There was a substitute ice maker for the built in ice maker in the refrigerator which was a hassle to pour in water for the ice then put it in the freezer for storage and to obtain ice through the door. The facility experienced a water leak on night three which made bathing virtually impossible due to the lack of water pressure. We were not told until well into the search and repair of the leak. Bottled water was brought up by the establishment; no word was given as to whether the leak was ever repaired. No rental adjustment was ever offered/mentioned for the inconvenience. The worst complaint was concerning a male "frequent customer" of Galice Resorts who opened a door uninvited on his way to a short cut from the top floor to the driveway below. He was challenged and commented that he was friends of so and so and inferred that he had permanent permission to travel through the building; he was denied further entry, was invited to leave through the same door and went away cussing. Not impressed!
