Our holiday home "Backes" is a completely restored Eifelbackhaus with underfloor heating. Here, bread can be baked according to the old fathers custom in a more than 100 years old oven. The 40sqm baking room is today living room with modern fitted kitchen and adjoining bathroom. In the 35 sqm attic is the bedroom for 2 adults and 1 toddler (up to 3 years). Pets are not allowed !!

Wonderful, peaceful location

A great cottage with beautiful views set in a small village atop a hill. Very well equipped and set out. Nearby national park has plenty to do and see - the ranger led walks are excellent. Nearby towns have all the facilities you could want. The pictures in the listing suggest that the fire place / bread oven can be lit by the holiday makers, but this is not so. This wasn't a problem but may be a disappointment if a wood fire was expected. Would certainly like to return in the future

We (2 people) had a very enjoyable stay in this FeWo. It is well situated in relation to the Eifel national park, and shops and amenities are only 10 minutes away by car. The house is the perfect combination of old-style build and modern comfort, and overlooked the garden and hills. Family Cremer were also very kind, and provided a very welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Liebe Familie Cremer, uns hat der Urlaub im "Backes" sehr gut gefallen. Die himmlische Ruhe und das gemütliche Häuschen haben zur Erhohlung beigetragen. Im Haus ist wirklich alles vorhanden, was man braucht, vor allem da aufgrund der Flut 2021 noch viele Restaurants in der Gegen geschlossen sind und man auch öfter mal selber kochen muss. Wir planen auf jeden Fall eine Wiederholung und hoffen, dass wir uns bald mal wiedersehen.

Wir verbrachten hier wunderschöne fünf Tage in einem schönen kleinen Ferienhäuschen. Die Vermieter haben uns herzlichst empfangen und wir fühlten uns sehr wohl hier. Besonders der Charme des Backhauses war überall zu sehen, die liebevollen kleinen Details, das alles macht dieses Häuschen zu einem Kleinod. Hinzu kommt der schöne Blick in den Garten und die Ruhe und Abgelegenheit hier. Hier konnten wir uns erholen.

Ruhe und Entspannung

Ein sehr schönes Haus, mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet, alles sauber und alles Wichtige ist vorhanden. Es ist schön ruhig dort. Wer also dem Lärm der Stadt entfliehen will, findet hier das richtige Haus. Der große Garten lädt zum grillen oder einfach nur in der Sonne chillen ein. Die Vermieter sind sehr, sehr freundlich und jederzeit zu erreichen, wenn etwas ist oder Fragen aufkommen. Für kleine Kinder bietet der Garten ebenfalls viel Platz, um sich auszutoben. 2 Haus-Kaninchen sind im Garten, für kleine Kinder sehr schön anzuschauen. Mit kleinem Baby könnte in der Küche etwas mehr Arbeitsfläche vorhanden sein, doch es lässt sich logistisch schon regeln und ein paar Küchengeräte umstellen, die vielleicht nicht benötigt werden. Das Badezimmer ist geräumig und besonders toll mit der großen, barrierefreien Dusche. Der Schlafbereich im Obergeschoss ist gemütlich und bietet zusätzlich noch viel Platz für kleine Kinder zum Spielen. Zum Zeitvertreib sind jede Menge Bücher für die Eltern sowie auch Spielzeug (z.B. Bauklötze) für Kinder vorhanden. Bei Bewertung der Lage gebe ich 1 Stern Abzug, da es doch recht abgeschieden ist. Wer in kurzer Zeit zu Fuß einkaufen/shoppen/ins Cafe gehen möchte, ist hier fehl am Platze. 6-8 km sind es schon bis zum nächsten Supermarkt oder Restaurant/Cafe. Sehr schön allerdings ist die nahe Lage zur Greifvogelstation und Wildgehege Hellenthal, die als Ausflugsziel sehr zu empfehlen ist. Alles in allem haben wir uns wohl gefühlt und können dieses Ferienhaus nur weiterempfehlen und vielleicht kommen wir ja nochmal wieder :-)
