Aurora Distillery Cabins

The view and location of this place is fantastic! Also highly recommend visiting the distillery for a tasting and tour, the staff is lovely.

A potential I see is to have the distillery open more hours and offer breakfast and dinner there for the cabin guests. It would really add the touch that this place deserves. We appreciate that there was a well equipped kitchen available, but when you’re on vacation you sometimes just want to be able to eat somewhere and that was very limited in this area.

The view- on the water overlooking the fjord! Very cool design and quiet.

Our beds were not very comfortable, I think too stiff? Not a fault of the property, but any good dining options are an hours drive. The cabins are set up so you can make your own dinner, it’s just we prefer to dine out on vacation.

If you enjoy camping this could be great for you if not be ready for german 1star hotel standard (but for the price of a 4star hotel). Basic kitchen equipment, a dirty bathroom where the shower is just a curtain that seperates the toilet from the wall, the double bed are two single beds with an uncomfortable matress and only two towels per person no matter the duration of the stay. U cant open the windows and you cant use the hottub nor the sauna if you havent opted for the "luxury cabin". Expect answers delayed by 24-48hrs, no staff at sight. I guess all positive reviews stem from exact those two cabins- so be sure to book the luxury option.
