About this house rental
Our house is immersed in nature between lakes, forests and meadows. Vimmerby is 5 km away.
The living area is 135 sqm. Dogs are welcome. Open, fully equipped kitchen, hallway with wardrobe, dishwasher, stove with ceramic hob, fridge / freezer. Dining room, child's highchair. Living room with fireplace, piano, stereo, German TV / DVD player / 2 bathrooms with toilet and shower, washing machine and dryer. Sauna with exit to the terrace.
4 bedrooms (2x double bed, 1x bunk bed, 1 x single bed). Central heating. Traditionally småland fenced 1300 sqm garden with playhouse (use at your own risk). Non smoking house. Fishing on Bysjön (500 m) and several surrounding lakes. 4 bikes, 1 child's bicycle.
Relaxations and things:
The environment of our house numerous relaxation areas: right behind the fence begins to nature. From here you can bike rides, walks or exploring by car companies. Several lakes for swimming and lounging. A riding school, also rides offered by the from and a beautifully situated golf course is just 4 km away.
Vimmerby is a small cozy town, but still offers an amazing amount: shopping of all kinds, banks and restaurants, Astrid Lindgren Headlands (Birthplace and Museum, events and concerts), Astrid Lindgren's World (amusement park for children and adults), Bullerby and Katthult (locations of Pippi Longstocking and Michel-of-Lönneberga-adaptations), Nils-Holgersons-Värld (Little Sweden, great climbing, Kettcar park, mini golf), Virum Elk Park, horse rides and farm life .Eriksgården. Baltic Sea archipelago. Parkland with Kvilleken, the extensive strongest oak of Europe, which is about 1000 years old. Further south in Smaland: the famous glass factories with a fascinating glass art.
Since the property is not directly on the lake, you have no problem with mosquitoes!
In winter (November - March) no bookings.

Wir haben einen wunderbaren Urlaub in dem tollen Ferienhaus verbracht. Die Lage des Hauses inmitten der Natur ist fantastisch. Die Ruhe dort wird nur vom Blätterrauschen, Insektenbrummen, Pferdeschnauben und Muhen der Kühe umspielt.
Die Ausstattung ist wirklich toll. Es gibt sogar Bücher, Reiseführer, Kartenmaterial und Spiele für drinnen und draußen.
Die Vermieter sind überaus freundlich und unkompliziert, beantworten jede Frage schnell und ausführlich.
Wir können dieses Ferienhaus uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

The perfect place for us as a family of 4 to spend a week completely relaxing and taking in the beauty and simplicity of Sweden. The house was clean, spacious and comfortable, with everything we needed (including washing machine, drier, dishwasher...even a sauna :)). Dieter was very helpful, including in helping us fix our mistake in arriving without bringing our own bed-linen (we missed that in the details :S). Lovely garden to enjoy the sunshine in. The area around was very quiet, despite the existence of the quarry that you can see on Google maps just to the SW of the property...had we not come across it by accident when out cycling along the forest tracks, we would not have known it was there. Great to have the bicycles to use, as well as Groda the rowing boat on nearby Lake Bysjön - thanks for providing all those extras, Dieter! Vimmerby is a nice small town, with good supermarkets (ICA Kvantum probably the best and cheapest) and a very friendly feel...and despite being in the area for an entire week, we managed (almost) to avoid everything related to Astrid Lindgren and Pippi Longstocking! Many come to Vimmerby just for that...we didn't, and yet we found more than enough to do anyway. Toursit office in Vimmerby was very helpful with information on places to visit and walks in the forests nearby. This was definitely a holiday we did not want to return from...and the red house itself was a big part of that. Thanks Dieter and Martina for making us so comfortable and welcome! We hope to come back...

Vi hade en bra vistelse, lantligt nära Vimmerby. Bra tomt och rymlig stuga med diskmaskin och bastu samt öppenspis och tvättmaskin/tummlare! Tips är mobilt att WIFI med Tele2 fungarade INTE(täckning saknas) samt att svenska kanaler på Satelit TV saknas(ta med egen box).
