"Landhaus Rothenburg" - modern house in the great outdoors at the gates of Rothenburg

We are a family of 4 (2 children aged 9 and 11) and our trip to Germany, in July, included a planned visit to Rothenburg. We had hoped to get accommodation in town itself, but I was not able to find anything on-line and so I started looking in the outlying areas. Am I ever glad that we ended up here! This house is GORGEOUS. It's on the edge of a tiny town that lies 5 minutes away (by car) from Rothenburg. The house itself is very new and has all the modern touches and décor you would want. Our apartment was a 2-bedroom apartment on the ground floor. Our living room had a nice patio with patio furniture (additional patio furniture and loungers were available in the adjacent barn - and easy to move over, if you wanted to). The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful and prompt in all communication. Upon arrival we were greeted and saw that we had a personalized sign with our family name on it, outside the entrance door to our apartment. Inside, a welcome note with a jar of local honey was there to greet us. For the kids, the offer manual go-karts, ping-pong tables, bicycles and foose-ball tables in an adjacent barn (same place where the extra patio furniture is kept). Here, you will also find a well stocked cupboard with bottles of beer and wine, that are charged based on consumption, on an honour-system. Back in the main building, there is a common-room with seating, magazines and coffee-makers for all house guests to come and enjoy. It was just amazing. These hosts have put a great deal of effort and thought into putting this place together and their focus on service and amenities make this an easy 5-star review. It is our sincere hope that we get to come back here soon and next time, we will stay more than 2 nights. Many thanks for a great stay!

We couldn't have found a better place to stay! The apartment is new, modern and is equipped with all the necessities.The location is perfect to visit Rothenberg Ob de Tauber only 7 kms away and to travel the Romantic Road. Ursula and Walter are very helpful and informative hosts. They provided us with recommendations for tours and local restaurants. We recommend planning a stay at Landhaus as part of your trip.

A very nice place to stay in the German country side. Rothenburg is just minutes away with may free things to see and do. Take a night watchman or better yet the executioners tour. This property is run by a very lovely accommodating couple. We will us them again If we are ever in the area. Excellent place to stay!!!!

Lovely modern guest house owned by a lovely local couple. They were really friendly & could not do more for us during our stay, recommending child friendly restaurants, local shops & other local facts close by. As the property is 7-8km away from Rothenburg town, a car is essential but this was only a 10 minute drive on open, empty roads. We stayed in one of the 1st floor duplex apartments. The decor was refreshing, modern, clean & with all requirements provided (towels, dishwasher & tablets, dish cloth, free wifi, bedding). The ground has a lovely garden & a large modernised barn with some toys for kids to play in. Also they have a drinks cupboard with local beer & wine & softdrinks. Just pay on the way out! Love that. Especially if you have forgotten to buy on the way back from a long day out sightseeing. Highly recommended.
