A lovely house in a quiet but convenient location, with a great helpful owner, highly recommended

Beautiful property, well maintained, with great facilities and lots of space. The outside space was great and the pool was lovely. The location was just out of town a short cycle or walk to the main town centre, but was nice a quiet. The owner was really helpful and responsive, could not ask for any better.

A fantastic house and host.

The property was fantastic and the location was perfect for a relaxed family holiday, just a 20 minute walk to beautiful Chinon centre. The house had everything we needed, it was very private and quiet and the pool was lovely. The owner was extremely welcoming and helpful, even providing us with some delicious pastries for our journey home.

Extremely comfortable and relaxing

Big house with lots of space, fully equipped and charmingly decorated. Great, spacious pool with lots of different groups of sun beds around. Wonderful place for meals outside. Everything provided, very relaxing. Table tennis, a cupboard full of games in the house. Very nice canoe rental down in Chinon.

Even better than we hoped for!

A beautiful house in a lovely quiet village, 20 mins walk into Chinon made this a perfect location for our holiday. The house is lovely, beautifully decorated and very well equipped with everything we needed, including a lovely outdoor area and pool. The host, Jean-Claude was very welcoming, meeting us on arrival and showing us round the house. He also very kindly bought us some groceries to see us through to the first morning as we arrived after the supermarket closed on the first evening. We had a lovely couple of weeks here and I hope to return again in future

A gem in beautiful surroundings - not to be missed

The property is one in a million, with a private pool, plenty of space, great facilities and beautiful surroundings. A five minute drive to either Chinon or a big supermarket. We were a family of four, and would like to stay again with more friends.

Fantastic accommodation for several couples in a quiet village

Fantastic accommodation in a very quiet village. The house and surrounding gardens are spacious, look newly renovated with a modern kitchen and living room, and extra points for lighting. Each of the rooms are styled to the smallest detail, with large comfortable beds. This house can easily accommodate several couples for a holiday to Chinon or surroundings. The pool is of course a major plus!

A little bit of paradise in the Loire in a superb setting in Chinon.

Location is wonderful, the accommodation has so much space and the pool is lovely. The garden is a little like paradise. Would highly recommend everything. The host is so welcoming too.

Exceptional

Jean Claude's place was big, spacious and very accommodating for our party of 7 (6 adults and 1 toddler). We had a lovely afternoon in the pool and headed out to a restaurant as per one of Jean Claude's recommendations which was delicious. Jean Claude was a fantastic host and we felt welcomed from the minute he opened up the place for us. It was very clean and comfortable and we would happily stay again.

It was a little hot in the bedrooms in the afternoon but there is a fan in every room which really helped. It didn't ruin our stay.

Pure happiness!

The house is super cozy and lovely. Lots of refinements. But above all, we loved the fact that everything is done so that the traveler lacks nothing, down to the smallest detail. It's very rare to see that, and just like the hosts, we found them to be wonderful.

Great pool, well equipped house and good location for walking biking to Chinon which is a lovely town. Good communication with host - friendly and welcoming.

Not a big problem as we had the bedroom with ensuite bathroom, but others had to share bathroom or access bathroom through our bedroom.

Excellent, well equipped house just outside of Chinon

Extremely nice host welcomed us to a very beautiful property. Very complete equipment, comfortable bedding, well equipped kitchen, nice pool, onsite parking...The house is located in a quiet village just outside Chinon.

Nothing really that we did not like. It is best to have a car as this is quite a stroll to Chinon (especially the way back), and to visit the area. You can also alternatively rent bikes in Chinon.

france is really douce, nice and sweet. in there. great stay!!

five eople, 4 days - the stay in "la douce france" was the best we could dream of. the villa is beautifull. the kitchen very good and Jean Clode (a great host) left milk. lovely fruit pies and frech baguette for our first day. the place is lovely. it was so fun there with the swiming pool and everything that we decided to stay in the villa a whole day and enjoy it instead of sightseeing. it was also a great base for sightseeing and Jean Claude gave us excellent tips for traveling around, definitely do what he says!! he knows.. + nice ALDI supermarket 4 minutes driving from there. don't forget to sit outside at night with no lights and look at the marvelous stary sky.. and don't hesitate. take this place! we enjoyed every second there.

be ready for stairs to your sleeping rooms. still they are worth the trouble!

Fantastic base for a family holiday in the Chinon area

Great location for exploring the area, Chinon centre just a pleasant 20 minute walk. The house was spacious, very well furnished and supplied with everything required. Lovely private pool. Alex the host was amazing - very friendly and helpful

Beautiful house and pool in a quiet area of Chinon in the Loire region.

We were enthousiastically received by the owner. The house and garden with swimming pool looked great. Bigger than expected on the pictures. We had a beautifull sunny warm week and enjoyed our stay a lot. The Swimming pool had a good temperature. The surrounding Loire area with a lot of castles, wine estates and good restaurants is beautiful. We made a canoeing trip on the river Vienne wich runs through Chinon.

The only downside was that some of the beds were a little short for the Dutch. But the owner told me that there are already plans of solving that problem.

A great place to relax.

Lots of space, indoors and out Ideal for families with young children. Great pool. Lovely terrace and garden. Perfect for al fresco dining. Every kitchen gadget you could require. The host Jean-Claude was brilliant, even coming out one evening to fix a problem with the boiler - despite his being in Paris that evening, a 3 hour trip each way!! Chinon, a lovely old town, is within very comfortable walking distance (20 minutes)

An ensuite for the third bedroom would have been nice.

What a lovely place to stay. The place is really nice and it was all clean when we arrived. Everything was exactly as described. Melany & Jean-Claude were a great host and made sure we felt comfortable and had everything we needed. We had a very good feeling. I don’t know what to say aside from thank you! Plenty of room for our family of 5. Full kitchen with everything you need to cook and eat with a large group (even a rice cooker). It’s spacious enough for an extended family to stay and have their own space.

So stylish, so french

Words can't describe the lovely feeling we had everyday in La Douce France Trianon. The property was really special. Once you get through the gate it feels like you are on an island, away from the street, it was really quiet and private. The villa wasn't in the very center of the city but it's not far from the main attraction. The villa was very convenient, clean, well equipped and since we love modern and old style - very beautiful! I would absolutely recommend on staying here and we would definitely stay there again! Many thanks to Melany who was so kind and helpful throughout our stay.

Our nr. 1 stay in the Loire area

Everything was great, the place felt like home with all the amenities you could imagine. The host was extremely helpful and friendly. Our kids had the best time it is very convenient with a family with all the spaces inside and the lovely garden with new pool. They keep improving the place so next year it will probably be even nicer even though everything is lovely already. Also for us parents all is there to enjoy ourselves, we had some great bbq and wine evenings on the terras which is very private and cosy. The location is in a lovely quaint village on a short drive from Chinon and close to a big supermarket, gas station, bakery etc. We were sad to leave.

Fabulous stay in Chinon

We stayed with 6 persons and a baby at the villa for 5 nights and we had a wonderful time. The villa is spacious and the outside property is lovely (much larger than in the photos) We loved the swimming pool, ping pong table, seating area, and used the bbq almost every night. The villa is located near the old centre of Chinon: we walked to the old town in 20 minutes. Jean Claude is an excellent host and made sure all our expectations were met. Do not hesitate in booking this accommodation, your stay will be fabulous!

Very frustrated !!

We really loved Melany and Jean-Claude and simply adored their magnificent typically French house but we could not take advantage of it as long as planned because we had to return urgently to the US following the closure of the borders by POTUS. We hope we should be able to come back next year.

Jean-Claude est très disponible et répond rapidement à toutes les questions. La maison est très grande, chaque chambre a sa propre personnalité et le lit est ultra confortable. La piscine extérieure est top ! Et le grand barbecue permet de vraiment profiter de l'environnement d'exception

Proprietaire très sympa,à l écoute de ses locataires ,il prend du temps pour tout nous montrer dans cette belle maison , bien entretenue,dans laquelle il ne manque rien:vaisselle ,appareils de cuisine ,frigo americain,belles salles de bain et jeux de société à volonté...... Environement calme ,possibilité de garer les voitures , piscine et transats , dont hélas nous n'avons pas pu profiter ,vu le temps ,tout est parfait.
