Jean-Claude was an excellent host and the property was very well presented. The pool is lovely!! A well equipped kitchen (and bbq) made all the difference to our stay. It was a wonderfully quiet location in the village of Saint-Louand, but just 15 minutes walk to the centre of Chinon along traffic free country lanes. And a very short (5 minute) drive to the Leclerc supermarket, town centre parking, and numerous vineyards. We felt very much at home. The pool and garden is completely private and not overlooked. There is secure (gated) private parking adjoining the property. A car is highly recommended.
The south-facing upstairs bedrooms were warm at night (outside temperatures were 38/39 degrees during the day, during our stay and so this is no surprise) but Jean-Claude provided lots of fans. The ground floor remained wonderfully cool.

De villa was groot en prachtig ingericht. De ruime slaapkamers waren fantastisch en de bedden goed.

What a beautiful house! It’s a gorgeous building which has been lovingly restored. There are a lot of comfortable spaces to be in, and they are thoughtfully furnished. The swimming pool is excellent - really clean and a nice size. And the house is very well equipped - you will not run out of cutlery here! The host is easy to contact and charming. We have stayed in a lot of holiday houses and this is honestly one of the best.
