Beautiful holiday home in Montecatino in the hills (300 m above sea level) between the enchanting towns of Lucca and Viareggio, jewel of Versilia. From the property you can enjoy a wide view of the plain of Lucca and the surrounding woods. The house is surrounded by a natural lawn with olive trees. Access via a 200 m long gravel road. 3 km from grocery shops, approx. 6 km riding stable. Ideal starting point for exploring some of the most important art cities in Tuscany: 9 km from the beautiful, culturally rich city of Lucca, approx. 35 km from the city of Pisa (airport), known worldwide for its leaning tower, 90 km from the unique city of Florence. Only 27 km from the wide sandy beaches of Versilia, famous for its beautiful seaside resorts and vibrant nightlife.

We select our places to stay with one main topic : quietness and no other persons in the direct vicinity.
Bulls eye, this is THE place to be.
The location up the hill with full view on the surroundings and Lucca is beautiful.
First time drive up to the house is a bit exciting as the road is very small with a couple of hairpins, so take a deep breath at the end of your trip, take it easy and watch the steep small road down on the right hand side, the reward at the destination is great.
Bring your bike (if you are in a good condition) or e- bike (for the less conditioned persons = us ) as from the house going to Lucca via the back roads is a nice trip.
Lucca itself is excellent for bikes.
The reception at the house was uncomplicated and well prepared .
Lovely fresh flowers, fresh fruits and a nice bottle of wine made you feel at home instantly.
The house is very well equipped, we did not miss anything
This place is a must for persons who love solitude and peace of mind, still having a village with all conveniences close by in ca. 15 minutes by car.
