Jan was an awesome host that was very accommodating. The home is very comfortable and clean! The beach towels and chairs were so convenient and helpful. The location of the home allows you to access the beach and many stores for shopping. It’s also very conveniently located very close to I-75 which makes it super easy to get to Fort Myers airport!

The host is responsive and helpful in every way. I felt very accommodated and the close proximity of the host was welcome in case we needed anything. The lanai is spacious and the heated pool was a big plus!

If you are looking for a place to stay in the Naples area, look no further: This is an excellent choice. There are many good reasons for staying at Jan and Gareth’s place but the location is number one. The house is a pleasant, safe ten-minute bike ride to Delnor-Wiggins State Park, a pristine forested beach and one of the nicest places to swim and relax in the Naples area, if not the nicest. At the same time, the house is a short car ride off Tamimi Trail and Immokalee Road, so a quick drive to anywhere in the Naples area. The house is in Naples Park, a tidy neighborhood of suburban homes. At first, after Googling the house, we were a bit concerned about the area’s density. But it turned out that the neighborhood was peaceful and friendly and Jan and Gareth’s house unusually quiet. Jan and Gareth live next door and their house is surrounded by greenery. We never heard them. On the other side is an empty lot while the houses behind are also quiet and well landscaped. When were not at the beach, we lived in the lanai, an oasis surrounded by greenery with a particularly pleasant swimming pool. We could sit there, having lunch or working on the laptop, and just listen to the birds. Perfect. We were four adults, three of us working remotely. We found the house an ideal retreat and would highly recommend it for two couples or a family. The kitchen is well stocked – we are serious cooks – and Jan and Gareth could simply not be better hosts. We happened to mention that there was no dish rack and magically one appeared. Although right next door, they are only as visible as you want them to be, no more no less. We found them to be charming people so we were happy to see more of them but if you wanted complete privacy, they’d be perfectly accommodating. They are both accomplished artists and it was only after several days that we realized that most of the fine art work on the walls, which we had noticed as being of high quality, was theirs.We were in Naples both to escape the frigid north but also the depressing reality of a Covid winter. We mainly ate at home – or occasionally at an outdoor dining area – and felt quite safe in our cozy retreat. We are so glad that we chose Jan and Gareth’s home and would highly recommend it to anyone thinking of staying in the Naples area. It is quite a find and reasonably priced for what it offers in terms of quality and location. Go for it.
