The accommodation was very clean and the area was quiet and peaceful.
It was a bit far out from the centre of
Ao Nang but the hotel arranged a free shuttle into the centre.

I was so happy with my stay here, the staff were all so helpful and the surroundings were out of this world. The resort provide transport free of charge into town which was an added bonus. Food from the restaurant was nice, overlooking the stunning lake.
A window next to my bed didn’t lock, I was worried as travelling as a solo female. But this was very minor issue for me

We loved the limestone view of the resort and the natural surroundings. We loved the host's hospitality and helpfulness towards her guests. Mostly, we loved their cats that walks around the premises, taking pets from everyone. Ao Nang was a bit far from the hotel, but they managed free transport there which was great. Overall, it was an amazing stay and we miss it everyday.

It was so peaceful, perfect for relaxation after staying next to Ao Nang beach, friendly staff, offered a ride to the beach or night market by tuk tuk
It’s a little further away and you need a bike / taxi to drive somewhere you want

Originally i had planned to comment on how nice the staff were on check in (who also live on site next to the cabins), unfortunately my attempts to contact them since has definitely changed that opinion (See below re. refund).
This property was probably the dirtiest and most uncomfortable I have stayed in in all of my SEA travels.
- Upon check in there was no toilet paper in the bathroom (just the empty roll from previous guests), there was gecko poo throughout the bed and all over the cups etc (see photos), there is no hand soap or tissues available, the fridge was uncleaned, there was also hair on the badly stained linens and rolled up in the towels.
- The shower is just a shower head on the small section of wall next to the toilet, meaning that when you shower everything gets drenched, and if you try and face the shower head to face directly on you instead of the wall, it floods the room adjacent to the bathroom. The only shower i had here ended up having to hold the shower head directly on me huddled in a small corner next to the toilet.
- The bed and pillows were the hardest Ive encountered, sleep was near impossible due to how uncomfortable the beds were.
- Whilst there is a lot of nature around, the lake is more a man made pond and smells strongly of sewerage.
- The accommodation does offer free tuk tuks into town, however these run on a limited schedule only.
- Whilst staff were polite at the time of check in, thats where it ended. I ended up checking out early, requested a refund in line with their cancellation policy, and the hotel have ignored my message, forcing me to now go through Booking.com directly.

We loved our stay here. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with such niceness from the lady in reception and that continued from any of the family/staff that we encountered during our visit.
Whilst it’s a little out of the way, the free transfer to the beach / walking market was super handy, and there’s lots of taxis available to easily make your way back for around THB 100-200. Plus, being out of the way is welcomed after walking round a super busy Ao Nang every day.
We loved our little room, and felt extremely relaxed surrounded by lots of nature. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to kick-back and have an escape from the hustle & bustle of Ao Nang beach.
The pool area is lovely, whilst it’s a fairly small pool it’s usually empty and open 24h, perfect for a nighttime dip.
Highly recommend this lovely hotel and truly wish the best for the lovely people running it.
Nothing.

This was a beautiful resort. It was a bit out of the way, and whilst that wasn’t too bad it could make you feel isolated. Luckily they offer a free lift into Ao Nang, which was great. The restaurant on site was great value and we had delicious food there one night and good breakfasts. Only downside is it does not sell alcohol, but nothing a trip to 7-11 won’t solve! The room was great although the fridge was loud and got unplugged at night. Aircon was also loud. But it was well cleaned every day. Shower room small but fine. We did lose water one day but fortunately we were away most of the day. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again though, staff all brilliant and a really different kind of stay to any other holiday or destination we have experienced.
As above.

This place is a little bit of heaven in such a beautiful little location. Really friendly family that were all really helpful. A little out of the way of the main area but a free tuktuk ride is provided into town. No alcohol sold in the resort but can bring your own to your villa. Traditional Thai wooden villa set in the gardens was perfect, was worried about mosquitos but didn’t have a problem at all. Loved this place.
Only thing was that it was a bit out the way from the main town.

The whole setup with the huts around the lake was amazing. We booked a family poolside bungalow and a lake view 2-bed hut for our family of 5. The children had the family bungalow while the parents had some peace and quiet in the nearby 2-bed hut! The pool was a lovely way to cool down and was much loved by the kids. The free transfer to Ao Nang beach and the night market was so useful. The on-site restaurant served tasty food at reasonable prices, even opening slightly early so we could eat before our transfer on to our next location. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The laundry service was very efficient. The resident cats were super cute! If you’re visiting Krabi and want a break away from the party scene then this is for you. Don’t be put off by the location - we had no mosquito problems at all.

The place is just amazing. The staff is super friendly and makes you feel comfortable
The shower is integrated with the toilet. You get your shower and after, if you need to use the toilet, your foots get wet, a bit disgusting for us. The rest, simply amazing.

Absolutely loved our stay at Baan Nai Lake View Resort — this place is a hidden gem! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They were so kind, helpful, and genuinely cared about making our stay special.
The setting is stunning — right on a peaceful lake with breathtaking views of the mountains in the distance. It’s the perfect place to unwind and take in the beauty of nature. The resort feels like a tranquil retreat, yet it’s super convenient thanks to the free ride into town they offer.
The value for money here is incredible- it's an absolute steal. For what you pay, you get so much — comfortable, clean rooms with super comfy beds, beautiful surroundings, and great service. The restaurant on-site serves tasty food and the lake beside it is full of cool fish. They even give you food to feed them, which was a really fun little touch.
Whether you're looking to relax or explore the area, this place is a perfect base. Couldn’t recommend it more — we’ll definitely be coming back!
Although the rooms are advertised as mountain view- there are only 3 rooms with the view so maybe you can request this. The toilet window is built with an opening but we stuffed it with a towel to stop the flies getting in. As it's a lake-expect Mosquitos. I usually get really badly bitten by Mosquitos but I took precautions such as a Soffel repellant and a plug in repellant and didn't get one bite in the 3 nights I stayed there.

Amazing views, kind staff, friendly kids on the property, clean room. We were able to rent a motorbike from the reception desk and it was brought to the property in 10 min. Also, free tuktuk rides to Aonang beach.
Didn’t necessarily dislike but the bathroom was a wet room instead of having a separate shower. Ants were coming through the front door, but we were able to put the bath mat and stop them.

This place is like heaven on earth. One of the most beautiful hotels I've ever been in Thaïland. The view is beautiful (lake and mountains), everything is so quiet, and the room is nice and clean. Special thanks to the staff, they are always smiling and kind, always ready to make your stay perfect ! They even drive me for free to my next hotel in Ao Nang. And the food at the restaurant is delicious and cheap, you must try it!

Absolutely amazing place, best place we stayed in my opinion for our month trip around thailiand. The staff were amazing and really friendly, the restaurant on the resort was lovely (we loved our iced lattes) an really good prices. So quiet of a night, away from all the hussle and bustle. They also offer lifts to ao nang you just have to make your own way back. Overall 10/10 would highly recommend to anyone.

Staff was friendly and lake atmosphere with a lot of fish
First of all location so far from everything you need to rent moped, free pickup goes too rare, about the room, ac not working good only very cold, so at night was cold, blanket poor not enough for 2 people, bed not comfortable, entrance to shower only for small people, i stuck my head 5 times, breakfast also poor not many options

The location is sooooo beautiful and the staff is super friendly! They helped us with renting a motorbike, the Elephant tour and our trip to Koh Phi Phi. It was amazing. We felt super safe and I miss the kids from the owner! They were so cute! I really loved the energy from the whole family on the resort.
Nothing. Everything was amazing!

I loved the location - outside the town so it was superquiet and the views were amazing. The bungalow was comfy, the staff very accommodating. The swimming pool - even though small - was lovely and I enjoyed the resort a lot. The resort was actually the highlight of my Thai experience and I would love to come back. A great place to relax.
Breakfasts - poor value for money. The afternoon/evening meals were delicious and reasonably priced but the breakfasts left a bit to be desired. Wi-fi in the room was quite unreliable but I did not find it much of a nuisance as I did not go to Thailand to spend a lot of time online.

It is such a beautiful scenery!! We enjoyed our stay very much there. The staff is super kind and they try their best to make your stay perfect! It is also very clean and they offer you a free transportation to the Ao Nang beach. Going back you have to pay the taxi, which is very easy and also cheap in Thailand! Only thing for us was that the beds were a little hard but we guess this is common in Thailand and maybe we are also used to very soft ones. The breakfast was also very delicious! In total it was just great!

The location is breathtaking, surrounded by nature.
The staff is extremely friendly.
The whole resort is very well equipped with all you may need.
You may need to rent a bike due to the location of the resort, but it is totally worth it and you can rent it in the hotel itself for the same price as in the city.

The property was gorgeous with great views of the surrounding cliffs. Being a few minutes off the beaten path was refreshing, calm and peaceful. The free taxi to Ao Nang was also really nice of the hotel to offer. The restaurant was great. Hot water and good AC. The staff was very helpful for all our needs.

It was the most beautiful resort we had during our stay in Thailand!! everything is so clean and beautiful, the view at the lake is stunning!! if you want to stay in Ao Nang this is the best place you can stay :) the staff is also so lovely and they helped us to get a taxi to the airport although we needed to left in 1 hour. The breakfast at the restaurant is also very great, you have many choices and you pay only 150 bath per person.
nothing :)

The resort itself is a little slice of heaven away from the hustle and bustle of the beach. The staff running the hotel are amazing and were super helpful during our stay. Just a short drive down to the beach and main strip. The restaurant in the resort is served amazing local food.

We have a lovely 7 night stay at Baan Nai. Ayeesha was fabulous and everyone was so friendly and helpful and made us feel so welcome. We stayed in the villa by the pool and also in a villa overlooking the lake. Both are very comfortable with nice firm mattresses, very clean with lots of hot water for the shower. The resort is very well cared for and loved and has a beautiful family feel. We rented a motorbike through Baan Nai which we used every day - about £7 a day for a 125. It made getting about really easy. Laundry is charged at 50 baht a kilo and well worth it. We ate in the restaurant on 3 occasions and it was very good - good amount of spice and heat. Good breakfasts too and they will arrange an early breakfast for you if you need to leave before 8am for a trip. The small pool is lovely to cool off in. We went out and about quite a bit and really enjoyed the Dragon Crest walk. The guide books said it’s 8k but we used the app Strava to track it and it was 16k. It’s not a technical walk but it is really steep, full of boulders and tree roots so you have to have a fairly good level of fitness to do it. The views are worth the ascent! Don’t bother with the Pond - it was a large puddle and full of mozzies (in January). We didn’t get time to go to the waterfall. We went to Tub beach afterwards which was pretty and really quiet - no noisy long tails going up and down the beach relentlessly so that was fab. We had a quick lunch at the Sunset Restaurant on the beach. For one main, rice, a Sprite and water it was £9. Expensive but we were tired from the walk so just went to the nearest restaurant to get fed.The main was good and tasty. During our stay we also visited Tiger Caves. Fabulous views at the top in the temple and the caves are worth a look around too. Ao Nang wasn’t our sort of thing. It’s really touristy, loud and very expensive when compared to Krabi town. We did one boat tour - the Hong Islands boat tour busy and touristy - not for us and not worth it.
